I have been depressed for months, maybe its more like a year now. Hard to tell. This is a lot longer than what I'm used to. It's on a low level, like being bored of everything all the time. I'm still productive and social, just not enjoying much.

I've had some changes at work that are very welcome. I'm being sent to other worksites to help out as we have a severe staff shortage and it's shaking things up for me.

Pursuing my own interests is challenging and I need a lot of quiet downtime to recover from stress.

I'm looking forward to this ending one day soon I hope.

I'm sorry for your droning depression. I know what that feels like. Are you on any medication? Do you see a therapist?

I'm not on any medication specifically for depression. I've had some very bad times in the past when I'm down and it prevents me from feeling anything, that's worse in my experience. I am not an expert on the subject of medication, all I know is I spent a decade trying to find something that works and allows me to be productive. I'm pretty much there and don't want to experiment when I'm able to mostly function.

My employer has a service I'm using for therapists that's helping out some.

For me, it's about breaking things down into small, manageable goals when I'm overwhelmed and having someone to talk through it. I'm just surprised this has been going on for so long.

I've been going through a depressive episode for six months now. I feel bored of everything too. It's like a flat, numb feeling. I hate it. I just want to feel normal again

I've been in this situation too and worsening for two months now. I don't know when I can go back to normal. It's very tough for me to handle stressful situations now. My new project is overwhelming me and I don't know if it's the vaccine that's affecting my will to live. I'm gaining so much weight from the lack of energy to work out and lack of time to do things other than work. Everything's frustrating.

I hope you'll be able to get out of this too, WestCoastRabbit.

I think your overwhelmed and it's showing up as depression. Can you take a day off have a fun day or an extra day of rest? Might be what you need to kick it. Maybe a few days. Just let yourself wallow a bit instead of pushing harder, it might be just what you need.

It's possible I'm going too much. I have a lot of trouble sitting still.

I do have some time off coming up in September. Until then, August is always a slow month , which is why I try to not take time off then.
