It depends. Right now, I am talking to my pdoc or my case manager every week- or maybe it has moved to every 2 weeks now. But that's because I was just hospitalized. When I had just gotten out of the hospital, they called me every day. Usually, though, my pdoc will call once every couple months.

Right now I see my new psychiatrist once per month. He is nice in telling me to always call, if I need to. There was a time recently when he offered me an appointment in between. I certainly can't complain. However, my old American psychiatrist saw me far more often than I think is normal. I often saw him every three weeks, even when doing fairly well. When doing less well, every other week or even once per week if in a slight crisis.
I quit my most recent therapist in Czech Republic because she was not a good fit. Plus, her office was sort of far away. I do have an appointment with a new therapist next month. I'm not sure how often I will see him. I was seeing the former one every other week. In the US, it really varied. My last US therapist was weekly, but I had had some that saw me only every other week or even every three weeks. The every three week one was because of that therapist's availability. Plus, the cost. __________________ Dx: Bipolar type 1 Psych Medications: * Tegretol XR (carbamazepine ER) 800 mg * Lamictal (lamotrigine) 150 mg * Seroquel XR (quetiapine ER) 600 mg I also take meds for blood pressure, cholesterol, and tachycardia. |

There is no team where I live now. No pdoc( there’s two pdoc s for 3 counties), no case worker, tho they did just finally opened an emergency psychiatric place it’s 50 minutes away and meant to be for 7 counties. My general doctor oversees my meds and I see him once a year. My daughter is a social worker and travels 3 counties seeing people but mostly it’s people with dd. Those with mi and especially those who are stable are on their own. If you are court ordered to take meds you do get a case worker and a social worker. I’m very invested in taking my meds as prescribed and keeping a good sleep hygiene because the care if I fall apart is just not there. Mostly in psych emergencies here you get driven hundreds of miles away out of state because there just aren’t the resources for mental health.

Right now I'm seeing my pdoc every two months, if I'm doing bad it's more frequently like once a month or every couple weeks. I talk to my therapist every 3-4 weeks depending on her schedule, and more frequently if I'm not doing well. My care manager I am able to text her anytime during the weekdays if I'm really struggling but I probably only text her once or twice a month to have her help me schedule rides for my appointments and ask if I need help getting connected to any resources. This past year we've only met like 2 or 3 times in person due to covid and only to do my treatment plan and then for her to give me the paperwork for applying to a vocational rehabilitation program.
I live in supportive housing so there's also an apartment case manager who works here in the office, and she can get in touch with my doctor, therapist, and care manager if necessary. She'll contact them if she's concerned about me like if it seems like I'm isolating or something like she did recently. I can talk to her anytime too. So I'm lucky, I have a lot of support __________________ R.I.P mom 8/6/55-1/15/16 “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” -St. Francis of Assisi

very rarely, they do not care imho. I do not wish to be ''inpatient'' and to be subjected to more barbaric ''treatment'' so I accept that I am not a ''priority'' which I have been told. Probably for the best, I do NOT trust them, for good reason. Sorry for the ''brutal'' honesty.
And because of the **** in addition to their lack of care I avoid them even more. I do not want to be............ having their stuff..... rammed down my throat (metaphorically) and all their wrong callous opinions. __________________ |

I see my therapist every other week. I see my Pdoc every 2-3 months depending on how I’m doing.
My various medical doctors and specialists I see whenever I need to. I used to have 3 appointments a week. Now it’s just been therapy every other week until stuff starts back up again in the middle of September. __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

This question reminded me of when I was an inpatient. There was always a group that compared their doctors, diagnoses, medications and other things such as disability pensions. It was basically a competition of who was the best or most legit psych patient.
I recently told my psychiatrist about this. She laughed and told me she was aware of it. With a huge smile, she stated they even talk about her. __________________ Dx: Didgee Disorder |

I typically see my T weekly. My primary psych doc I have to see within two weeks of ECT so I'm seeing her every four weeks. My ECT psych doc I see when going in for treatment every four weeks. If it weren't for the ECT I probably wouldn't see my primary psych doc but about every six months. I'm not sure.
This doesn't really add anything to the conversation, does it? __________________ >< |

I see my T twice a week, once for group therapy and once for individual. My Pdoc I see every eight weeks right now. I have been experiencing a mixed episode recently. Normally I would see her every 3-4 months.

I see my therapist weekly (although we're sort of talking about going to every other; I don't feel ready, he thinks we are) and pdoc monthly.

My therapist I see twice per week. I used to see my psychiatrist once per week, but she suddenly left the clinic. Someone is doing psych meds until a new pdoc is hired. I doubt the fill-in person will see me very often.

Well, I was correct. The new creepy pdoc will see me once/month. Not the terrific amount of support I've been used to. She said she "wants to get to know me"...a month from now? pffffttt...

I see my pdoc every couple of months but sometimes once a month if he feels I need it. I don`t have a therapist. I`ve tried therapy and I didn`t care for it .Maybe it`s because I`m not the most talkative person in the world and I have trouble expressing my feelings verbally.
