Just spent two weeks in the hospital for a bad infection. It was nice to be treated without them mentioning my mental health even once. It was so different to not be thrown aside because I am bipolar. While it sucked to spend Thanksgiving and my birthday in the hospital it was a nice change. Nice to be able to have tv and phone in my room. It was just such a different experience.

I'm so glad your hospital experience was a good one. I know what you mean...the difference between psych hospital and medical hospital is vast. btw, Happy (belated) Birthday!

The difference overall between mental health care and medical care is vast in my opinion. Healthcare workers are way more proffesional then mental health workers. At least the ones I've dealt with on both sides.
