Today, I am frustrated with medication. Actually, I've been that way for a few months. My doctor found something that seems to have finally lifted the fog of depression that I've been living with since August and today I realized that my hand was trembling. I noticed it last wee, but thought maybe it was a result of sleeping on it or something. Today, there was no doubt, my hand was shaking involuntarily. Great, so what do I do now. Do you ever want to just give up the fight? Stop searching for the right med? Say to the world "you get what you get?" Today, I do. I also know that things will get out of hand pretty quickly and the last thing I want is to end up back in the hospital. I'm frustrated. . .

I'm glad to read that your depression has lifted. That's such a good thing! As for hand tremors, don't despair. Unless you have a job or passion that requires an extremely steady hand (violinist, painter, sharpshooter), tremors need not be disabling. Do mention it to your doctor, though. They may be able to eventually adjust the medication to minimize them, or if needed give you a small extra medication (i.e. a beta blocker) that may calm the hand tremors. As side effects go, though, that was by far one of the lesser ones I've experienced and I've experienced a variety on various meds over the years. But of course distress is a relative thing. If all else fails, there are bipolar medications that don't usually cause hand tremors.

Medication side effects are definitely the bane of many with bipolar disorder. They're not guaranteed, though, and some are tolerable compared to bipolar episodes/symptoms. And yes, bipolar disorder can be the worst of the evils. It's a journey.

Lithium gives me small tremors sometimes if I’m slightly dehydrated. I don’t notice it much anymore but others do and point it out. I always just say oops too much coffee it’s making my hands shake.

defenetly

I just have health issue, after health issue, after health issue- I know I have problems, and I know that some of them, (like my weight), could be made better if I put the effert in.

but I just don't care anymore, and I think a lot of it is down to the fact that

Possible trigger:

but I have a life to live. as important as health is, I can't make it priority every second- if I did that I'd have no time for myself.
