As I was talking to my one of my TAs today about some of the more out there things I did before I was diagnosed and treated, it hit me that I really didn't know a single other bipolar person. Wanted to change that.

A bit about me: I'm 33. I teach special ed (ASD). I was diagnosed bipolar at 23 after a very long and stubborn struggle that left quite the wake of destruction. Have learned how to manage the disorder quite well over the years thanks to a great deal of mismanagement and more stubbornness. Hope I can offer any insights one might be in need of, share stories and experiences (funny, sad, cringe, terrifying, etc.). A welcoming & entertaining ear. I'm sure I've done all that you have and possibly more so no judgment. Please feel free to say and ask whatever is on your mind.

With love,

Hayley JHV

@HayleyVersailles:

Welcome aboard! We have another member in the special education professions so hopefully you will be able to support each other in particular. I'll let her introduce herself. As far as wild and wacky behavior, you're going to fit right in!
Thanks for this!
