My sleep just plain sucked. The heat is holding in heavy, yucky air, even when it cools down some overnight. Plus, there's a rehab group home behind my bedroom window and they left bright lights on all night. I will email them and remind them (yet again, I email them about 5 times/year) to turn their lights off.

I'm hoping my med dude called in a prescription for Seroquel. Usually I'd take only 25mg, occasionally, for sleep. But I'm contemplating taking 50mg tonight so I'll truly sleep. I have a non-stop headache and feel run down from lack of sleep.

@Fuzzybear - How are you feeling in the terrible heat? London at 104 degrees/40 celcius?!?!

I've been feeling similar to Christina actually about the heat. I hate it and it makes me want to not be here. It isn't as bad now though. I'm sick of the summer though, I prefer spring and autumn or even winter (often)

It makes sleep so much worse, ugh.

Same ole same ole. Skimming sleep/wake zone no deep sleep. I figure it will be about a month before it improves. If not the pdoc wants to try a different med. belsomra

A month is a long time to put up with that.

I did sleep some last night.

I have some herbal sleep stuff I haven't tried (I tried something herbal before, it either did nothing or caused an allergic reaction - not as severe as the allergic reaction from prescribed meds aside from benzos)

I find chlorphenamine (sp?) helps a little, sometimes with sleep. I think seroquel has some of one of the same ingredients as chlorphenamine (sp?) has (and is sometimes prescribed for sleep at a very low dose as I'm sure most here know - I'm allergic to seroquel)

I'm glad your pdoc is working with you in a helpful way.

I felt like I hadn't slept in a week all day yesterday. I didn't take a nap but I couldnt get out of bed. I only took one 10mil melatonin and then crashed from 6:30PM until 3:30AM. I feel so much better. I think getting my meds on a legit schedule is helping.

Oh Nammu !

I understand your pdocs thought on Belsomra but I’d be hard pressed to try it as then your hooked on another med unless you can truly use it when your just not coping.

Knock on wood. My Seroquel and Doxepin give me pretty consistent sleep. Have you ever tried those ? I’m sure I’ve asked this before but my memory is garbage.

Seroqual yes, it worked wonderfully for about a week then I started having terrible leg spasms. I was soo tired and would nod off then my leg would spasm and I’d be jerked awake. It went on like that the whole night. I tried three more times and had the spasms every time! Doxepin I’ve never had, I’ll check that out.

Back into bad habits. It's almost morning proper and I haven't had a lick of sleep! Luckily, I have nothing to do and nowhere to go, so I can try and catch up on some Zs. I'll also take the Abilify prescribed to me before bed tonight. I have a commitment Sunday morning and I don't want a repeat of last week where I nearly stranded my mother! Fingers crossed!

Just couldn't fall asleep last night. Had "nighty night" tea. Nothing. Melatonin. Nothing. Finally at 1am I took a couple benadryl and got 5 hours of sleep. Still tired. I can't wait for winter so I can just sleep in the cold and the dark.

Off & on sleep. I'm a mess. My heart is so sad from failing so many things, mostly due to tiredness & weakness.

Well the edibles? Eh, mostly I just got a headache. I didn’t get much more sleep than usual with the edibles. I’ll have to try it again sometime to see. Have nine doses left. But if it gives me a headache again I won’t be finishing it. I’ll just give it back to my daughter.

Leg spasms ACKKKKK ! I can’t deal with them.

Yeah look into Doxepin might help even if it’s just a little

I found out doxepin is an antidepressant. I can’t take those, they are activating for me and send me over the edge. I was hoping the edibles would work better. It is a low dose. Only 5mg but that’s what’s legal here now. Kinda funny how that law was snuck though a back door. I can’t remember ever getting a headache from smoking it but back in the day I wasn’t on any prescription medication so who knows. I took one chewable at around 6 and the only thing I noticed was the headache. Then at 11 I took the chocolate. I was so hoping it would work. Maybe in California or Colorado where you can get specific strains that work better at this or that?

I fell asleep at 7 and woke up at 2 something. So it wasn't a bad night I'm just trying to get on a schedule and I was off yesterday.

Another rough night of just listening to podcasts and constantly getting up just to pace around. I just can't stop pacing--not even to sleep!

I guess I'll look into that.

I've been allergic to so many meds it's kinda scary.

I would love to try the edibles (not an option here)
