Ooo new thread already! I’m here.

I’m ok. A bit down, but not down down. Just a low day despite playing games with the gang.

I’m hoping to get my passport in time to sign up for the cruise to England and Ireland.

The past few days have rekindled my rage at the dental practitioners of my particular area. As a reminder, the last dentist I visited managed to, in the course of an extraction, break a quarter off of completely unrelated tooth.

Another quarter of the tooth has been lost and the gum and bone is now infected. It @#$&ing hurts. Worse, it @#$&ing hurts worse when I lay down. So much so, I can't sleep.

So... I tried to expedite a dentist appointment. I was 0 for 4. Best case is Monday to schedule a visit. Ugh.....

I did go to Urgent Care though. They gave me a toradol injection, 800mg NSAIDs and antibiotics for the infection. I hope they work!

Ooo I hate dentists. They need a standard of care.

Man does that Wellbutrin have me hurting physically tonight. I'm maxed out on OTC nausea meds and pepcids and Tylenol and Advil. Everything just isn't working. I tried some roasted chicken noodle soup which helped a bit. Mental health wise I'm ok. I was kinda down earlier. I just am really nauseated and my stomach hurts.

Maybe I'll try a lidacaine patch. I am in a **** ton of pain right now and in the ER they gave me one of those. I puked up some bile as normal

I was pulling my blanket up and it was stuck and then my fist flew out and punched me in my eye.

Dude my stomach hurts. Badly. And now I probably have a black eye too.

That book i was so excited about got seedy and juvenile so i'm not reading it anymore. Winter has roared back with a vengeance and i'm mildly depressed again. I'm grateful that i don't have any demands tho and can endure my poor health in relative comfort.

Hugs to all who need them!

I did the dumbest thing. I was supposed to start 50 mg of Seroquel last night. So I knew I'd be really tired and not feel great. Which happened. I thought it was so good to have gotten some sleep. And I did sleep. I thought my pdoc was a genius getting that response in one day. (She's still a genius, just not for this).

Then tonight I just discovered I didn't take meds last night because i was asleep and so the "responses to Seroquel" were psychosomatic. Oops..........I've never had that happen so strongly.

Next up my REAL first night on Seroquel.

Oops...

The nurse at urgent care warned me that the steroid may give me a burst of energy and wake me up, which it didn't, the antibiotic may make me nauseous, which it hasn't, and that the cough medicine may make me sleepy, which it didn't, so so far things are going great! I'm tolerating my medicine quite well. I just have to schedule a follow-up appointment with my GP on Monday.

I'm worried about my cat. His name is Binx. He's five years old, all black, and my emotional support animal aka ESA. He has lower urinary tract disease and has to be on a special diet or he can't pee, other than blood. I can't get him to eat his special food! He's SO skinny. Like, worrisome thin. I couldn't even get him to eat one can today.

I'm calling the vet on Monday and scheduling an appointment.

So glad you are tolerating your meds. Sending good vibes for Binx.

Intake eval at the local CMHC soon because for some reason everyone thinks I need "treatment" (AKA gaslighting, abandonment, and overmedicating).

The things I do for some stupid Lamictal.

edit: ughhhh that was rough. But I'm getting a therapist, pdoc, and case manager.

I am just curled up in a ball in bed until my mom comes home with 4 types of Dramamine. I'm calling my primary on Monday to set up an appointment to get some zofran.

I got the dramamine and some advil. I feel better half an hour after taking some.

Damn. I lied about that cough medicine not making me sleepy. Works like a charm though. I've only hacked up a lung a little bit today and need my rest anyway. Have to write my flash fiction later on today. I didn't do it the past couple of weeks because I've been so sick, so I have to get back in the habit of doing it every Saturday.

Absolutely lovely appointment with my therapist yesterday. Had that before I went to urgent care. Forgot to mention it. Went out for coffee. Shared a huge cookie and a hummus and pita dish. Most delicious. Wonderful conversation. Only sad thing is that my yearly commitment review is coming up again and she's recommending I stay on it for another year. For the love of pete! I'm NEVER going to get my freedom back!!!!

She said it's because I was hospitalized twice in the last year and don't take my meds as prescribed. YES I DO. Mostly. She said we need to get my sleeping under control and my moods before they can just let me go. BOOHOO. It's not my fault I sleep like shyt.

I think I was wrong. I think I didn't take my late night meds on Wednesday so when I added the Seroquel to my pill box I added it to Wednesday and then took it Thursday. I feel exactly the same today as yesterday (so groggy) and that explanation makes more sense.

Good to know I've not started making up extremely exhausted days.

If only I could sleep this off but I keep having nightmares so I can't. I don't remember that being a side effect of Seroquel before. I've always had issues with nightmares but these are particularly bad.

Sorry to hear you're having nightmares. I don't like nightmares. Happy to hear the seroquel is helping you sleep.

Binx ate his dinner! Literally licked the bowl clean. I'm so happy 😊. He must be making up for yesterday or something. He's supposed to eat two cans a day (per recommendation of the vet when I called concerned about his weight a couple weeks back), so I just have to get some more in him before bedtime.

I'm just relieved he actually ate his dinner at this point though. Still want to take him to the vet for a checkup, even if it's damn expensive. But it's my cat we're talking about! I love him with all my heart. It's so sweet. He has a hammock right by our bed and has been staying by my side all day while I'm getting better. He likes hugs and being scratched behind his ears. We have another black cat named Stella, but she's quite aloof. Only comes by me and plays with my hair when she wants to be fed. Lol. I don't do much around here, but taking care of our cats is my responsibility

Anyway, that's my long-winded Binx the cat update.

That sucks. This is why I've been avoiding going into see my GP about my weight concerns. I figure she'll just tell me to diet and exercise and that I'm not quite fat enough yet for weight loss drugs.
