Ah. But that's so selfish of her. To have her wedding on that day...it not only leaves you in a painful position, it forces family and friends to be in such a difficult, awkward place. She has to be made to see that.

What date was planned / known first though? Weddings are usually planned well in advance aren’t they? (I’m guessing hers wasn’t?)

They’re not even engaged. They just decided to plan it.
And my graduation is the same day they always do-the first Saturday in May-derby day. She’s also having reception same time as my graduation ceremony

I may be wrong, but instinct and experience tells me her plans are not set on a solid foundation. Her "wedding" may fall through.
