I've been having a hard time interpreting things lately. I just wrote a nasty PM to someone I respect because I misinterpreted something they wrote. I feel like shite for doing so. I've just been feeling unsettled lately & I took it out on the last person who deserves it.

A good friend here on the forum, after I expressed deep regret to her about an argument that had taken place on this board (I exploded with frustration, and not in the mature way I would have preferred to express anger), reminded me that "none of us are saints."

Please, Buddha- take it easy on yourself. I've been meaning to PM you lately, just check in and see how you are. And to grieve the crappiest season ever for my Giants. I know you'll understand!

Take care and be good to yourself. btw, I'm sometimes reminded of something. Charles Manson wrote a lot of letters to people. Well, old Charlie was no idol of mine - but. I've always liked the way he signed every letter he wrote. "Easy, Charlie" I like it. "Take it easy, be easy on yourself." "Easy."

Buddha go easy on yourself. I think everyone has those times, I know I have. I try to stay away when i seem to be misinterpreting everything but I'm not always successful. Sometimes it just comes out wrong. We’re all human.

You are legit one of the sweetest people around. We all say things we wish we hadn’t at some point. Give yourself some grace that you would give someone

@buddha1too, I totally agree with Christina. As for misinterpreting things people say/write, it happens to all of us. I think in written communication it's even more frequent. We don't even have facial expressions or tone of voice to help with interpretation.

Sending you hugs. You know that I've always appreciated our PM conversations, too. It is a comfort to have someone who understands what it's like to live far from home. Speaking of this, living in a foreign land with language difficulties also exacerbates interpretations. Sometimes I'm sad that I can't be as funny around people as usual, that I often feel like a mute dummy, or that I struggle in other ways. Clearly when I speak English with non-native speakers they may not understand me fully. I imagine you "get" some of this, as well, from past experiences abroad.

I agree with the others, I have done the same thing sometimes and so much regretted it, but it's true, none of us are saints. I also think it's much harder with written communication to always interpret things accurately. I'm sending peace and love.

It's easy to overlook this, but I agree entirely.

Thinking of you Buddha, and hoping things are a bit better now.
