Resilience, unconventional, funny, good advocate when I find something I care about.

What about you what traits do you respect the most with yourself (good question)

Ah man this is NOT the time for this question but I'll try.
I guess my creativitity.

If you could mix three scents and call it your personality, which three scents would they be?

I don't like that I let more confident but more stupid people tell me what to do.

What about you

I don't like how nice I am, how unconfident, too dependent, can't drive because of my stupid driving phobia, etc. I feel like an adult baby! I'm pathetic.

Same herr. Not that I actually do as I am told, but I let them tell me.

Let us go back to MuddyBoots' question about mixing scents.

Bear scat, pine trees, and burnt rubber.

Do you prefer control or freedom?

Control. I hate feeling out of control. It's why I've never drank alcoholic; hate the feeling.

Who is hardest for you to shop for this Christmas?

My eldest son. He is so hard to please. I got a wish list from him because I asked for one.

Have you finished your Christmas shopping?

All done. Bagged and under the tree. Just awaiting a last minute family gift.

Have you sent out your Christmas cards?

Sent out? Not yet, but they are written, in envelopes and stamped. We should send them asap because the ones to the US sometimes take a while to get there. A couple are to Germany which takes a lot less time. We have some in post card form. They take forever to get to their destinations. Longer than enveloped cards. These days, we only send a handful. The variety of available Christmas cards is small in CZ. It didn't used to be a custom, and for many still isn't here. The US is far more "greeting card oriented". Some do send cards for the New Year.

Are you also thinking about holiday menu items or baking sweets? Have you made anything yet?

No. I don't plan on baking anything this year. I'm on a diet. For holiday menu items we go to my husband's mom's house. I can't eat anything there and plan on buying and baking a Tofurkey in advance.

Have you put up your Christmas tree? Is it real or fake?

No tree. I do have a beautiful electric ceramic tree with colored birds but my table has my birthday flowers on it. There are a large pine and pine cone arrangement with white and red flowers. Very Christmasy . There isn’t any other place to put it. I do have a wreath on my door and Star led lights in the window. I did get a tiny live pine tree from the arbor association that came with gold ornaments. But I’ve no idea where to put it. I’m going to use it as a hostess gift Christmas Day. She can plant it in her huge yard.

Do you have too small of a place to decorate?

Yes, my place is tiny, so I have a tiny tree. No real decorations except maybe a cross on my door for protection.

Are you excited for this Christmas? Or is it just another day for you?

Pretty much a day of obligation. Not excited really. But I am looking forward to Christmas Eve. I’m looking forward to the grandkids opening their gifts. I think I did good this year. Looking forward to my daughter and her husband opening their gifts too. All I need to bring is wine.

Do holidays feel more like an obligation than a fun time?

With the anxiety and panic attacks Ive been having it feels like an obligation. I’m not having fun at all.

Have you ever bought yourself your own Christmas gift?

No. One year in grad school I got money to buy a new computer that I desperately needed but that's s close as I've come.

Do you have to travel for the holidays?

Wow, I did not realize you already have grandkids. Congratulations!

No. It will be a staycation for me. But I cannot help thinking of various travel destinations that maybe I will go to one day.

Do you sing Christmas carols? Do you go to see caroling or listen to Christmas music?
