I wish my pdoc wasn't mostly retired. He only works Wednesdays and takes the entire month of February off to go to Florida. My next appointment with him isn't until April 2nd. I'm going to die! (Not literally of course.... but I'm used to seeing him every six weeks.)

Same question.

irks me no end when they say so what was it like when you did this, or were here and I'm like pardon?. who's notes are these because they are definitely not mine

I’ve discussed it with my daughter. It’s very simple.

Same question

A little bit with my husband, but not super details. I wouldn't want much done. I prefer cremation. No viewing. No service. Nothing religious. More where I want my ashes scattered. This assumes I die before my husband. If after, I may rethink some details, but they won't be too different than above.

What major typical bipolar medication side effect(s) don't you currently experience?

Akathesia. Now that I'm on 2 APs I was worried a little about that but so far I've had nothing even resembling it. Hopefully I don't before I am ready to come off the Seroquel. Which I hope is soon.

What is the hardest household job for you to do when you are symptomatic?

Nothing. Deodorant. Lol.

What is your favorite band or who is your favorite musician?

Yes, I had a giant teddy bear, all brown but with a canary yellow tummy. My paternal grandmother bought it for me from the store called Leipzig which sold goods imported from the German Democratic Republic. I loved the teddy bear and slept with it. It (or, rather, he) helped me fall asleep on the nights when my parents came back from work so late that I had to put myself to bed. This started when I was in 2nd grade.

When did you start staying home alone as a child?

Around second grade my first full weekend alone was when I was 9. A couple came by to visit and I made them coffee and served them cookies. They later told my parents they wouldn’t dare leave their own older kids alone for the weekend. My parents were so proud of me they saw nothing wrong with it. Of course it was the 60’s and we lived in the countryside. There wasn’t anyplace to get into trouble and someone had to stay home and care for the pets, which were all mine.

Interesting question, same again, how old were you when you were first left alone at home?

I am very impressed. I did not know how to make coffee until 2016. (with the exception of instant, of course).

Not sure. I want to say nine or ten. Of course, I grew up on a farm, so all that needed doing was right at home or close it. My parents didn't have much need or reason to leave me home alone.

Not being left alone doesn't mean I didn't go off alone. At it's height, the family farm had nearly a hundred acres and I made full use of that space. Some of the neighbors fields too, but don't tell them!

When you were younger, did you have a tendency to wander or explore? If you did, what's the furthest out you got to go?

I wasn't " allowed" to leave the house, so not sure the tendancy was ever really there, or if it was, I didn't know about it. it sucked, because it meant there was no normal childhood for me. I wasn't even allowed at the park.

what event or set of events made you realise that you were no longer a child?

he did mean a lot! No name, just teddy bear. He had a generic name of sorts.

When I was a sophomore in high school my grandmother who I was very close to became terminally ill. I helped care for her and spent nights with her. There were two events that mad me realize I was suddenly an adult,. Once I had to pick her up from the floor after she fell which was so horrible to see and painful to her to fix. Another was when she got pneumonia during a horrible snow storm. I couldn't get out and my parents couldn't get to town to take her to the hospital. So for 2-3 days I took care of her when she was so sick I was scared she might die. Looking back I'm glad I had those experiences. They are partially why I became an OT and helped develop who I am.

What shaped who you are as an adult?

Caring for my grandma as above and working at a camp for kids and adults with special needs. Those things lead me directly into my career which I loved.

What is your favorite car brand?

I'm not a car person at all

if it gets you from A to B, that's all I care about

have you ever had, or thought about owning, a horse? (I think owning a horse might be quite fun)

My husband and I have been talking about it, but I don't think we're going to get one. Too much hassle, and I'm on SSDI and he doesn't plan on staying at his current job forever. And my dream for us, once our daughter is all grown up and moved out, is to get a nice one bedroom apartment with a nice patio in a nice neighborhood, where we can sit outside and people watch. Yes. I have small dreams. Lol.

Have you ever had hernia repair surgery? (Or a hernia in general.)

No hernias.

How about your gall bladder? Do you still have one or was yours a reject?
