I used to smoke many years ago. I wasn’t even an regular smoker, just took once and a while. But then I cancelled it only to use Swedish snus (a tobacco in small bags you stuff under your upper lip). Then stopped 2019 and now I’m on it again.Questions bipolar version #10

My best advice: if you didn’t got into the world of tobacco, then don’t. Saves money and your lungs (in case with cigarettes). Snus is harmless for lungs but have 10mg nicotine per bag.

I once went swimming in a pool of red Jello. (It was when I was a camp counselor)

What is your favorite job you've ever had?

Probably my current one. It's ostensibly phone sales, but it's really phone sales with a bit of consultation on phone problems. That's the part I really like, the problem solving and facilitation aspect of it. I love figuring stuff like that out and getting people to a solution.

Are you a fan of puzzles? If so, what's your favorite kind to do?

We annually do 2 1000 piece puzzles around Christmas. That's about it.

Do you prefer to shop online or in person?

I’m really about 6 of one and a half dozen of the other. Really, I like being able to feel the texture and weight of a thing and know if it’s worth the price, if it’s quality and such but on the other hand,…no people, no crowds, no carrying things around, just push a button and zippo, done.

How would you describe your style?

Personality style or fashion style? If fashion, I suppose comfortable but still feminine, yet not putting too much thought into making any artistic statement. If personality, laissez-faire, no-nonsense, humor-loving, accepting, caring, yet can be quite tough when needed. More of an introvert, so I need only a small group of people in my close sphere.

What does your favorite clothes outfit look like?

Not gonna lie, it's the grey long sleeve shirt I have on right now and batman PJ pants (which I am not wearing).

When it comes to medical procedures, would you rather a short painful one or a long more comfortable one?

I am a lover of poetry. It's like a word game to me, and I enjoy the way poetry uses the least number of words to express the most intense meanings. Sylvia Plath remains my favorite; regardless of how pop culture she has become, I don't believe that should minimize her astounding genius. W.B. Yeats, Walt Whitman. Robert Frost. Allen Ginsberg, Dylan Thomas, Bob Dylan, Anne Sexton. There are several, some of mine are local poets. But those are a few.

Q:
Speaking of poets, do you prefer your espresso shots ristretto or long?

I don't actually know what that means but I don't drink caffeinated beverages so we'll go with probably "no".

When have you made a difference in someone else's life?

I once spent some time after work sitting with a woman who was dying and didn't have family. It kept her calm and peaceful.

Have you ever had to wear a cast?

I’ve never broken a bone, knock on wood that I’ll never break one.

Do you watch the Christmas specials?

Tomatoes and donuts. I eat tomatoes almost every single day of the week and buy the best ones I can find. Everyone in my family knows about this passion. I rarely eat donuts, even though I love them so much. Bad news! My favorite donut is a vanilla cream filled donut with confectioner's sugar. It's my father's favorite, as well. Sometimes it's hard to get good ones outside of the Mid Atlantic and maybe New England states. When I lived in California, I did not find vanilla cream ones and others were only so-so. Donuts also kinda suck in Czech Republic. Dunkin Donuts are crap compared to ones made in real donut bakeries. Yes, I feel strongly about this.

Where did you eat the best pizza of your life?

I grew up ice skating. I grew up in Minnesota and our grade school had an ice rink outside. So in the winter recess was skating. No one was officially taught how to skate you just learned by coping better skaters. Great fun. Then when I was in middle school they built a indoor rink. And I got to take lessons and be involved in productions.

Did you enjoy being a kid?

I thought childhood was marvelous (with only blips of exceptions) until my early teens. Then it became very rough for a while. I'm sure that was when my bipolar disorder really started. Plus, that was when my idealization of youth was destroyed to a great degree.

What in life means the most to you?

My faith

What is the coldest it got in the recent storm where you are? (Or what was your enviable temperature?)

It was recently-39 below zero, Fahrenheit and Celsius both. That was the windshield or feels like temperature though. The actual temperature was -13F below zero the storm is currently ongoing.

Did the storm hit where you live? If so what was you low?
