I guess yes. Seroquel XR and Seroquel IR (both together). I write "guess" because if I didn't take them I would not sleep, or barely. To some degree withdrawal would be a factor, but if I stopped them I'd surely become manic, which would also affect my sleep. However, when I was not on any medications before ever taking them, I could sleep when depressed (hypersomnia, in fact) and when reasonably stable. Insomnia has never been a discomfort for me. When manic (or hypomanic), I didn't miss sleep.

On the rare occasions I struggle to fall asleep on my Seroquels, I have permitted tools that help. A little extra Seroquel or an Ativan on top of it all. Only if non-chemical aids fall short (i.e. my sound machine, a yogurt, "shut off my brain" strategies, etc.)

What about your behavior has improved since taking bipolar medications?

Much less anger. It's hard to answer this really because now that I'm on meds that work things are so very different. I guess nearly everything?

Do you wear make-up?

No, not unless I'm involved in a stage production (and that's been a while).

What brings you peace, even if only for a little while?

Being on the sofa under my alpaca blanket with either a fireplace (at my former home in the US) or a woodstove (now and soon to be home) burning.

What do you see in the back of your house or apartment?

My purple vibe level is perpetually at a +5. It's weird, I know. I think I caught it at a Stones concert in 1981 because it hasn't changed since then.

Same: On a scale of -5 to +5, what's your purple vibe level rn?

I’d guess I’m 0, I’d love to be +5 but I’m too mellow. So I’m smack dad in the middle.

What’s your favorite way to unwind?

Not quite yet. It's currently 7:47 am. My plan is to have a bagel with herb cream cheese, tomato, and red onion. Will offer Hubby smoked salmon.

When was the last time you drove (or were driven) for an at least one hour drive?

It takes me 1 hour to get to work and 1 hour 20 minutes to get home. So every Monday-Friday!

What’s the last series you watched on tv?

My roommate started watching Game of Thrones from beginning to end and I've been enjoying tagging along with her. It's been an experience for sure!

What was the last song that's gotten stuck in your head?

Oh my God! Give me a loose tank top and some pajama pants and I'm good to go!

Where is your favorite place to go to de-stress?

Last year around this time. I always get manic around Easter, it's both a spiritual and hypomanic time for me.

What is your favorite holiday destination?

I try not to. Believe it or not, coffee makes me really sleepy.

When was the last time you had a med change?
