Joined the Army. Literally. It was absolutely insane. I was discharged though; my mental state was very apparent.

I remember flashes of my manic episodes. A lot of it I don't remember until I start coming out of it after being given antipsychotics in the hospital. I have days that are mostly blank. Once I even had a psychogenic nonepiletic seizure and was taken by ambulance to a hospital, and I don't remember a bit of it; I just know what my husband told me. I'm glad I don't remember most of my manic episodes because the flashes I do have are mostly disturbing, though I do clearly remember some times when I thought I was conversing with God; those times were strangely comforting.

I've thought I was God, and I heard myself talk and talked to myself so if that counts...? More so see angels and demons.
Do you have normal periods of euthymia where you actually function and maybe even are content? What's that like? __________________ Live life for nothing but that sweet sweet melody. |

No. I have better times, right now being the best ever, but I still struggle with symptoms and limitations between episodes.
Have you ever figured out how many days of your life you've spent with your therapist? With my current one it's about 42) (52weeksx1 visit each x 60 minutes/24 hours) That's not totally accurate but I've had enough weeks with 2 sessions (and I have) it's pretty close. __________________ Bipolar 1, PTSD, GAD, OCD. No, I've never been in therapy long enough to add it up. I've tried at least a dozen therapists and never clicked with one of them.

I mean constant noises in there........a few phrases of music, nasty thoughts about myself, obsessive things I have to do, etc. Since starting Seroquel it's done by about 85%. I didn't even know it could be completely quiet in a room.
I used to be creative prior to the heavier duty meds. Now I wouldn't say so. I hope someday that comes back. Do you prefer zoos or museums? __________________ Bipolar 1, PTSD, GAD, OCD. Talking to myself here.....My therapist used to tell me to "do what you can do, as you can do it". It helped me stay centered.

I'm not even on meds and summer weather is hard. Not so much the heat, but when it's 70 and the dew point is even higher, even that's hard. Can't wait for 90s and humid, and probably being forced on meds soon.
Do you think even when you're euthymic, you're still affected in some way by bipolar cognitively? __________________ Live life for nothing but that sweet sweet melody. |

Yes, yes, and the aftermath is probably the most unbearable of it all now that a bunch of scummy people think I'll put out for anyone at anytime and I have no limits...
Do you always or at least usually switch from (hypo)mania to depression? What's that look like for you? __________________ Live life for nothing but that sweet sweet melody. |
