I think my body is freaking out from the sudden med changes! I’m
Off risperdal, cogentin, requip, melatonin and haldol all at once and now I’ve added Lybalvi. I have a headache and slight tremor. I had been on all these meds
For 3 years

I have always heard that it is best to taper medications and not go cold turkey unless it is an emergency situation. But I am not a doctor or medical professional so what do I know?

I do want to tell you how terribly sorry I am that you are suffering. That is heartbreaking! Wish I knew how to help! ! !

That does sound rough! A lot to simultaneously stop outside more intensive care. Please keep your doc updated on these uncomfortable withdrawal effects. Perhaps, as Yaowen wrote, your pdoc should have tapered something.

I'm assuming your new medication Lybalvi is new in the bipolar med world. I'd never heard of it before. All the more reason for your pdoc not to rush total switch to it, in my view.

Coming off all those meds at once? Yeah, definitely withdrawals

Lybalvi is zyprexa mixed with an opiod antagonist to prevent weight gain

That's a lot of meds to stop cold turkey! Sounds dangerous 😳. I hope you're okay.
