I think my body is freaking out from the sudden med changes! I’m
Off risperdal, cogentin, requip, melatonin and haldol all at once and now I’ve added Lybalvi. I have a headache and slight tremor. I had been on all these meds For 3 years __________________ Bipolar 1 w/psychotic features or schizoaffective bipolar type PTSD generalized anxiety OCD celexa, prazosin, Lybalvi and prn zyprexa and klonopin |

I have always heard that it is best to taper medications and not go cold turkey unless it is an emergency situation. But I am not a doctor or medical professional so what do I know?
I do want to tell you how terribly sorry I am that you are suffering. That is heartbreaking! Wish I knew how to help! ! ! |

That does sound rough! A lot to simultaneously stop outside more intensive care. Please keep your doc updated on these uncomfortable withdrawal effects. Perhaps, as Yaowen wrote, your pdoc should have tapered something.
I'm assuming your new medication Lybalvi is new in the bipolar med world. I'd never heard of it before. All the more reason for your pdoc not to rush total switch to it, in my view. __________________ Dx: Bipolar type 1 Psych Medications: * Tegretol XR (carbamazepine ER) 800 mg * Lamictal (lamotrigine) 150 mg * Seroquel XR (quetiapine ER) 600 mg I also take meds for blood pressure, cholesterol, and tachycardia. |

Coming off all those meds at once? Yeah, definitely withdrawals

That's a lot of meds to stop cold turkey! Sounds dangerous 😳. I hope you're okay.
