I donít recall side effects on Abilify except for some weight gain even though it is one of the more weight neutral ones

Today I plan on packing the rest of the stuff in my sonís room. Iíve cleaned out most of his room but I didnít move his bed or his chest of drawers and they will definitely have toys under them.

I did absolutely no packing yesterday. I was just sooo exhausted. My son fell asleep at 3pm on my bed with my iPad. I tried to catch up on some 💤 then but I didnít fall asleep. Itís 2:44am now and I know I wonít fall back asleep.

I see my T tonight! Iím really excited to see her. I havenít seen her for a year and a half. She just got too expensive at $200 a session and I donít get any of that back. But I decided to bite the bullet. Next time I ďseeĒ her will be online like the good old days of covid lockdown because I would have moved and sheíll be an hour away from my place.

I really wanted to see my pdoc this week but heís on leave and then heís fully booked next week. Iíll have to go over my Easter break. Will have been 3 months since Iíve seen him by then.

Hope the rest of the packing goes well and that you will feel better back in therapy again!

Oh I wish I could partake in aqua fitnes. At my place all the places in the acua group is taken before 06:30 am every day. I cannot understand why we cannot buy a whole section at once, one Authumn section , one Winter and so on.

Glad to see that you are clever to use your time well!

I tried switching therapy to remote and she was like "thats totally ok and if you want to rest today, I can do zoom tommorow." Yeah, I know I'm her first client so if she doesn't see me today that gives her a huge chunk of the day off. But I'm struggling making the walk to the bathroom I am not up to a session anyways so I said yeah tommorow would be fine. But idk. I found it to be kinda manipulative. If thats the right word.

Anyways I plan on calling my doctor today to see what he has open.

I heard people are going to build a human moat along Mar-A-Largo tommorow. Lol

Sorry to hear that you have to go through all this!

Oh I wish Iíd seen that before I left. But I only bought a few small cans of the good quality stuff. I didnít see what we used when I volunteered in the shelter. So I got a few cans to test out. They did have lots of choices of kitten food. I accidentally took that but put it back when I saw it was for kittens.

I also forgot to buy the vitamin food supplement when I was at the vets. Now I need to call. Hate calling. But when I go pick that up I can pick up some kitten food.

I wonder if she does end up in the state hospital, if they'll allow her internet access?
When I was in the state hospitals they are notorious for being behind the times. Iím not sure internet access is something theyíll do. But usually they have a general admittance floor thatís tightly closed then after you go though steps and are there longer they switch you to less restrictive units. She might get her phone back then.

I got an appointment with my kidney doctor for tommorow afternoon. I'm in sooo much pain right now. I took some tylenol and I'm hoping just to get through the night. I have my stretchy shorts on. I didnt eat anything bad. Just some soup and a bagel and some yogurt. I took a 2 hour nap which didnt do much but I had this cool dream where a few friends and I discovered time travel and the abilty to change the past but we all agreed not to change any world event in case it hugely impacted the future.

I think the stretchy shorts and tylenol are somewhat working though as long as I don't move around too much .

I feel sad today, not only for having to cancel our appointment, but because I have started to wonder about what this really is. May be a flu, but what if it is Fibromyalgia? I have pain even beneath my feet. I don't think I can take more ...

Iím so sorry your dealing with pain. Iíve had Fibromyalgia for 20+ years diagnosed and first was told in my early 30ís ( Iím 55 now) and I canít explain the anger and sadness I have because of it. Some days itís not god awful and other days I am just in bed. I seldom get my pain below a 7. About 6 years ago I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis so I have the muscle pain/ache of Fibro and now the joint degeneration of PsA

The foot pain can be unbearable at times. Have you tried Gabapentin ? I was on that and it helped a bit. I then went on Lyrica which is really just a refined version of Gabapentin. I also take Flexiril which is a muscle relaxer which helps a bit.

Getting consistent sleep is a huge help. Altho when your body aches itís so hard to get it.

Do try to learn to pace yourself ( I suck at it often) but pacing can help. Look into the ď SpoonĒ way of coping. It really does fit how our abilities change from day to day.

Most of all be kind to yourself

Total different species but one of my horse back in the day struggled to keep weight on. She was a 29 year old Arabian. I found her a food that was high calorie but also upped her appetite. Maybe they have something like that for cats ? I hope you find something tasty for Sir

Iím on abilify. It helps my mood a lot and also helps with my paranoia quite a bit. I hope it works out for you

The only thing I will mention for side effects is it did come with a little weight gain and some restlessness/insomnia. But Iím on other meds that help with the insomnia so itís okay

It took a few tries to see a dentist (one wasn't in office 'till Thursday, two others wouldn't take Medicaid), but I finally got one to look at my tooth. In addition to the chunk of tooth missing, that tooth was infected and abscessed and now, with the nerve and pulp exposed, extra painful.

Goes without saying, but that tooth will have to go. The issue? Their "extractor" won't be in for nearly a month. I don't think I'll be able to stand a month of this. They did give me the number of a clinic that could potentially get me in earlier.

In the meanwhile, antibiotics for the infection and any NSAID under the sun for pain!

Empathy is a strange thing...it seems we are either born with it, or not.

Stoicism- interesting that you brought that up. It's a philosophy that is so similar to the practice of mindfulness.

Thank you, Sami.

You're welcome - and yes there are several similarities between Buddhism and Stoicism, which are interesting as I know of no connection between the two. Both philosophies also teach that suffering is an inevitable part of life and there is no way to avoid it, but a way to mitigate it is through positive mental practices.

One of the most helpful aspects of stoicism to me personally is the idea that "the obstacle is the path" and that I should take the difficult path rather than the easy one in pursuit of a worthy goal. Basically if you don't do something you will suffer anyway with regret. Also stoicism teaches that we should measure our accomplishments by how hard we worked for them rather than if they are successful or get us acclaim. And one of my favourite Buddhist quotes is "Just as a solid rock is unshaken by the wind, so a wise man is unmoved by praise or blame." These ideas are so helpful to me with my fiction writing--to take pride in my efforts regardless of if I get any praise or criticism. It's very hard to do though. I have sold short stories but if I ever sell a book I am determined never to read any reviews.
