Hello. My name is Steve and I'm moving here from neurotalk where I wrote over 5000 posts. I have the Bipolar disorder. I am by no means new to the sufferings of Bipolar depression, and etc. I hope that we will have a mutual learning experience and friendship like we had on the Neurotalk forum. Brokenfriend

Welcome, Brokenfriend! I also have bipolar disorder.
In addition to being a fairly regular visitor here, I did visit a couple Neurotalk forums a few times in the past. Back then, I had a period of severe migraines, including Silent migraines. Also, some doctors believed I was experiencing seizure activity. One neurologist even diagnosed me as having Simple Partial Seizures. Luckily, both my migraines and suspected seizure activity stopped. Perhaps because of the anticonvulsants I still take (for my bipolar disorder) as well as some mental "healing", of sorts, lifestyle change, and use of coping tools. But I know I'm lucky, since many struggle without such relief.

Dx: Bipolar type 1 Psych Medications: * Tegretol XR (carbamazepine ER) 800 mg * Lamictal (lamotrigine) 150 mg * Seroquel XR (quetiapine ER) 500 mg I also take meds for blood pressure, cholesterol, and tachycardia. |

I'm sort of bipolar, I'm neither the I or II type but Unspecified so I'm somewhere in between. I happen to be in the midst of a 7 year depressive episode and am getting treatment for that now.

Hello and welcome. I am also a member of Neurotalk, but was under a different name (you can DM me if curious about that). I was relatively new there though, maybe 4 or 5 years member, so I can't recall if we've ever met. Also, for some reason it seems that all the older threads have been removed, so there is no real history of me being there, except in a few other sections of the forum (non bipolar). On the topic of bipolar, it would seem that I do not actually have this diagnosis anymore as the psychiatrist i was seeing for about a year (and about a year ago) never observed any mania or hypomania even. So, I'm just a depressed and very anxious person. But I'll stick around the bipolar section too, as I've made friends along the way (ie: Bizi) Take care!
Edit: oh yes, i have to update my meds list. No longer on Vraylar, for sure.
