Unfortunately, some in that list died by suicide or drug/alcohol overdose. Not good!
It is true that most of the others have fought stigma and kept working, and found continued success, but most also had/have advantages over more "regular bipolar folks", like most here. For example, money and a type of support not available to people like me. The celebrities certainly have/had talents and determination to admire, but they are not really my main bipolar heroes. I don't relate to them that much. They aren't really in my world. But who knows, maybe if I could sing, write, or act to their levels, I might be where some are/were. And some never wanted to be a form of bipolar hero or poster child.
