Are you on regular seroquel or XR? If you're on regular maybe if you take the XR a little earlier you'll sleep a little longer (and idk but maybe it won't have the same high and you won't be as tempted to abuse it)

I'm on the regular seroquel. I take 200mg divided into four doses throughout the day.

I was thinking about asking my pdoc about the XR though...

I don't know though. He hasn't said anything about it, and I don't want to try his patience further.

I drugged myself before bed last night and slept like a baby! Six straight hours! And I didn't have any bad dreams. Yay!

I think my seroquel binging is getting out of control. I don't know what to do. I CRAVE it. It feels so GOOD. Ugh! WHY!!!! It's such a stupid med to abuse out of all the meds I'm on. Like, I just took 200mg. If I don't control myself I'm going to run out early! I have a lot of leeway right now because the pharmacy doesn't give too much of a **** when I pick it up, as long as s my insurance pays. I mean, I can pick it up five days early.

I don't know. I feel DOOMED to the seroquel.

Damn you seroquel!

WHY!!!!!

I'm afraid to ask.

Unfortunately I tolerate seroquel very well. No side effects (other than sleepiness obviously if I take too much). And a bit of weight gain, which I can control. I'm on topamax now and everything tastes disgusting.

I've been through SO many self inflicted med changes since February. I have a med change every six weeks. At my second to last appointment my pdoc said to me, "I've been VERY patient with you..."

So... I'm afraid to go on the AP roller-coaster. Especially since my psychosis control is so fragile. And I don't think my pdoc would be very receptive to any major med changes at the moment.

I JUST NEED TO CONTROL MYSELF 😫

I just got a call back from my pdoc's office.

He added 100mg of seroquel at night as needed.

So now I have even MORE seroquel!!!!

Which is good and bad.

DAMN YOU SEROQUEL!!!!

I’d like to take double Lunesta so I can sleep but I’m too afraid of the side effects. Especially to my liver.

Yeah.

I've never been on Lunesta. I was only on Ambien for a very brief period of time but it didn't help me sleep, just made me hallucinate.

Other than seroquel for sleep I've only been on remeron (worked great! But made me SO hungry. Couldn't stand it. Had to go off it) and trazadone (which doesn't really work).

I can't pick up my seroquel prn anyway because my insurance won't cover it because I just picked up my scheduled seroquel for the month. Boohoo! I have to call the pharmacy tomorrow to find out when I can pick it up.

Oh. Wanted to add. Not too worried about my liver. I'm already a walking pharmacy so it's fukked anyway.

This is so unusual. I mean, Seroquel is not normally a drug of abuse. How did you first discover that it gave that great feeling to you? And at what dose?

Geodon 40 mg
Seroquel 75 mg

I was originally put on it for my anxiety and found it helped extraordinarily well for that. Anything 100mg+ gives me that great high feeling. 50mg doesn't feel like anything at all. If i couple it with some caffeine pills it's even better!

I know it's a strange med to abuse. It's actually really embarrassing. I told my therapist about it first, then told my pdoc, and he said it wasn't that strange at all. He said that in the prison system it's abused all the time. Something about how it makes prisoners feel like they're getting "easy time" and that they're trying to get seroquel out of the prison system.

I called my pharmacy last night and they filled my prn seroquel. Picking that up today.

Picked up another shiny new bottle of seroquel, except this one has 100mg tablets in it instead of 50mg tablets.

I've been having auditory hallucinations as of late again, mostly of my husband talking to me when he's not. And of music. No tactile hallucinations though. I haven't been able to remember my dreams thankfully.

I was once at an IOP and there was an older man there who was a former prisoner. He told he how highly prized Seroquel is among prisoners because it is very hard to get a good night of sleep in prison (the lights never go off, I believe).

I had another one of those waking nightmares last night. This time I can't blame Sudafed.

My next pdoc appointment is on January 3rd, so I guess I'll just wait until then and talk to him about it.

It was just so scary!

I'm afraid to go to bed tonight. 😨

Hugs. I used to use seroquel 25mg as a prn for anxiety during the day. If it’s working for you, go for it! Glad you see your pdoc soon.
