I take Vraylar and while it doesnt do any drastic changes -- it does seem to help settle me into a baseline. I also take 1.5mg.

I'm waiting to start Vraylar; I've heard good things about it.

I hope it works for you.

Hallie, 1.5 mg is a starter dose of Vraylar. If you are taking it for delusions, it probably is not sufficient.

This is what FDA data says:

"The recommended dose range is 1.5 mg to 6 mg once daily. The starting dose of VRAYLAR is 1.5 mg. The dosage can be increased to 3 mg on Day 2. Depending upon clinical response and tolerability, further dose adjustments can be made in 1.5 mg or 3 mg increments."

I think 2 weeks is too long to wait. You are tolerating the drug well, aren't you?

Is this a med your insurance will cover/you'll be able to afford if you don't have samples? If it was a med my insurance wouldn't cover or that I wouldn't be able to afford without samples (I have medicaid and medicare), I wouldn't even bother with it.

You should find out.

Ask her for a prescription for 1.5 mg used twice a day This way you will have flexibility to go up or stay at the current dosage. But ask her now, do not wait until you run out of samples.

Lybalvi and Vraylar is an unusual combo, but combining antipsychotics is becoming more prevalent. Let us see what he decides.
