happy birthday to me! I turned 61 on january 1st. I am a twin and my hubby and I spent new years eve with my brother in law in mobile alabama.
WE went to a craft beer garden but stayed inside as it was cold.
They have a tradition of moon pies so they have a giant moon pie that brings in the new year. Now that is different.

Hi Bizi

Hope you had a great birthday. I had a great christmas, and have been
having a pretty good new year so far.

Derrick has been working a good set of hours. And as long as it doesn't
snow a lot this weekend he has two ball games on Sunday.

Also I am going to methodist hospital tomorrow and staying in a hotel
because my brother in law is having brain surgery on Friday.

He is a inpatient and has testing tomorrow. And other things.

But we are going down and taking his brother. I know that its to early
to get down their at 5:30 on Friday and that is one of the reasons we
are going down on THursday and staying. That and the fact that I-65
is also usually backed up if its a bad wreck or something.

The surgery was for an 4 by 4 by 4 milligram I think they say. That
is close to the optical nerve, and they believe its not cancerous. But they
aren't positive. It wasn't bloody as they called it. But the word they used
was juicey I think. Anyway, it was not as long of a surgery as expected. which
was 6 hours. But he has had some seizures, and they aren't sure why but
believe its from the surgery. So they will just have to wait and see.

It really is worrisome, but personally I think he is probably doing as well as can be, from what they say he was reacting to. Even without talking much.

So now we just wait to see.

Its getting bad out in our area. So we will see how it goes in this area.

My dad said the got a foot of snow at home.
They are on a cruise now for 10 days, I hope my mom can enjoy some of trip.
last trip they went on she did not remember any of it.
sad.

6 hours for brain surgery sounds like a very ling time.
Who had the surgery?

Bizi

My brother=in-law Paul had it. It was not 6 hours as they thought it was going to be. But he had a pretty rough time in recovery and the couple of days after.
He also had some seizures after surgery that are sometimes routine. But he seems to be doing pretty good now. He moved to rehabilation in Lafayette on Friday last week. And I need to go see him soon. I just haven't gotten there.
And we haven't been able to thanks to the stupid weather.
