Ever cried so hard it feels like a manic episode??

That's where I'm at.

These emotions are so high, I feel like my meds aren't working. I know it's because I am going what I'm going through is the cause of it, so I don't want to go throwing more medicine at it.

Emotional pain is so hard, why must I have bipolar on top of it?

Yes, I have had crying that was like that. It was triggered while in an emotionally abusive relationship, only by my reaction to his treatment of me. I was not diagnosed bipolar, but you touch upon a point that may have to do with that.

You are going through extreme emotions that are understandable for you to feel though, so be gentle with yourself for how you express them.

I lost my aunt last week. We were very close. I cried for days before funeral and then at the funeral it was almost embarrassing that I just couldn’t stop with snots and tears running. Then I could not stop after. Today is the first day I didn’t cry. Yet. But now I feel depressed and cannot get anything done. I am a mess and i don’t have any diagnosis. Give yourself a break and do something gentle and kind for yourself. Or watch something light and uplifting.

Sometimes the only way out, is through.

Be patient with yourself. Journal. Breathe.

This will pass, don't be hard on yourself for it. You will come out of this stronger and more experienced.

@TishaBuv I know you feel what I have been feeling especially of what you just went through. Thank you so much for your advice. What I was feeling was raw emotion that day and was able to just breathe, journal and breathe some more. Emotions are so hard, I hate to just throw diagnoses and medicine at it.

@divine1966 - so so sorry for the loss of your aunt. that must be so hard. Grief can just be so overwhelming. I hope you're okay today, but I am also glad that you got all those tears out of you even though it felt like it as a lot and you felt a bit depressed afterward. Thanks for always being here for me, I really appreciate your counsel. (I ended up watching American Pie that day, )

@Crazy Hitch hey there! thanks for stopping by and lending some support, I did manage to come out of it a bit, but when I am in I am REALLY in it, and it feels like no way out.

@Scooter9 - yes! that's exactly what I did to get out of it! I just held up in my house for a few days and journaled and just took it easy with myself and let the emotion run its course. Thanks so much for your support, I hope you have had a good day today.

Yes, it sounds like your intense emotional reaction was completely reasonable considering the situation.

Had a really hard time sleeping the other night. This whole feeling of guilt is overwhelming. Wondering if I'll ever get past it.
