I am now on a stimulant medication for narcolepsy which is more commonly prescribed for ADHD. It is producing side effects, and especially triggering hypomania and insomnia. The medication is Dexedrine. There are other stimulants to try.
if I take too little, I still need naps during the day. If I take a full dose, I end up sped up etc. If you have ADHD comorbid with Bipolar, what is your treatment regimen? __________________ Bipolar I w/psychotic features Last inpatient stay in 2018 Geodon 40 mg Seroquel 75 mg Lybalvi 5 mg as a PRN Gabapentin 1200 mg, Vitamin B-complex (against extrapyramidal side effects) Long term side effects from medications some of them discontinued: - hypothyroidism - obesity Suspected narcolepsy Treated with Ritalin 5mg |
