Hi all, Some updates about Derrick and I

Bizi, You know about Derrick and all he does and goes through.

I think I told you he was going to the Unmasked Ball. He had a
great time and even a date. Which isn't always a easy thing for
him. But I'm so glad he found someone that is ID or for those
that don't know what that means intellectually disabled like him
that is gay. And isn't going on the online sites and finding service
men who are then trying to get money our of him.

He is also doing Special olympics basketball right now. His team
has come in second twice in tournaments. And will be playing
at the sectional tournaments next weekend on Sunday. And then
the 23 or 24th at State games. He has waited many years to play
with a basketball team. So he is having lots of fun. He was playing
when we all got covid and they were headed that weekend to
sectional tournaments and the things shut down.

So lets all hope things continue to go.

Me I'm enjoying retirement, but wishing to find something to do.

I think I'll keep looking.

I am glad that derrick had a date to the ball!And that he will be participating with special Olympics.

I hope you find something to do now that you are retired.

Right now just enjoying taking Derrick around town and doing things for
him and with him. I'm hoping when we go look at a new dog tomorrow
we will like her and her us. Then we will get a new dog. Its a chihuahua
so it would be nice.

I'm working on helping him with things for special olympics so we will
see.

From what I can tell Dan is doing really great. He is doing so well that
he is staying with Kortni and Harmony more and more. Which is really
good. He will always live with his dad and I as a legal address or in a
house we own as a legal address because if he lives with her. Then
she will have to much income and lose her SSI and it causes to much
problems because then if he has problems she has no money.

But this is okay. Because she doesn't like to declare for food stamps and
other government help, so just her ssi check and Dan's money that he
pays her for Harmony is all she gets. So I'm just so glad they are doing well
enough for him to spend more and more time there.

I believe that Devin and Meluvja are doing well too. I haven't heard from either
one of them. Devin is always working. And I try not to text her to much she
always finds something negative to say. Especially about Will so I just wait.
And usually Dale has that information.

Today is our 43 wedding anniversary. Yesterday was Derrick's meeting for
his team so we all went to outback for Lunch and I just decided Dale and
I celebrated our anniversary then. Even though I didn't tell him. Because
he never remembers anyway. But its fine we had a great meal and lots
of fun it was to cold to have much more fun.

Derrick is off all weekend, because we had hoped his team would make the state basketball tournament. They didn't but he and I are going to do something anyway not sure exactly what we will figure it out when he gets home.
