New month new thread.
My sister oldest one Jill is vacationing in Australia.
My twin sister Gretchen is leaving on saturday to go to london and scottland for 2 weeks.
I am so out of shape I could not walk any trip even if is to walk to the grocery store 4 blocks a way.Now that is horrible.
I have good news. last year my MDOC looked at my elevated total cholesterol
which is always high due to my high good hdl she suggested I take red yeast rice. so I ordered some and it has niacin and coque 10 which I was already taking and continued to take.
the good news is that all of my labs came back normal and my total cholesterol dropped 90 points we were both so happy my ldl dropped and so did my triglycerides. I highly recommend those supplements. So I don't have to go on statins YAY!!!!!

Yes!

That's why I'm making it a goal to go on a walk every day. This is ridiculous 😒. I never used to be this way.

This is utterly amazing, total cholesterol dropping by 90 and triglycerides dropping, too. I hope you can find ways to move your body. I recommend the free program called Tony Habits. It is research-based and can do wonders. I love Gustav Klimt, too. I never knew you had a twin sister!

Raspberry, recommend Tiny Habits to you, too. The tiny habits related to walking can be really tiny. One recommended habit is to put your sneakers by your front door. That is considered a success. You do not have to actually go for a walk to count it as a success, but eventually you will go on walks.

BJ Fogg is the Stanford researched who designed this method.

I thought you said.
BJ frog

I was just thinking to my self...self go to the gym
and walk as much as you are able to on the tread mill.
.
I don't like to walk out doors too many cracks and roots uneven side walks And I am constantly tripping and falling that is reason I will schedule an appointment with a neurologist, maybe there is some thing going on.
I'd hate to find out, but maybe it is something serious????

Do go. Better find out early when more interventions are possible.

Even walking surfaces: besides treadmills, school tracks. I sometimes walk on the track at the closest middle school.

Hi everyone,

Bizi you know that I have always had a problem with balance since I was a child. So much so that when I went to a neurologist for my migraines, he also specializes in balance. So he sent me to physical therapy for a balance program that I did for over a year. That I have honestly always told people that I have improved my balance about 75 % or more. But the big thing is I have always been clumsy and still am. So I really work to remember some of the skills I learned and still try to do them. So that I can maybe not fall. But I still do.
But its just life anymore.
I hope you get some answers.

Well I made an appointment with a neurologist for june 10th I think.
This last fall really hurt my knees especially my right knee.I need an Mri of my brain and my knee. I will go see a walk in clinic who has exray equipment and see if the can exray my knee. right off the bat I don't know of any clinics that do that. maybe I can call around.

ouch!
I have been shuffling a lot and my memory is terrible.
I am so clumsy I am so afraid to look up when walking that I stare at the floor/walk way making sure I don't fall. I trip on flat surfaces.

I am trying to walk better....heel toe. I just hope I don't have early

altzheimers, it runs in my family on my moms side.
heavy sigh.

Bizi

I'm going to ask a question that you might have already been
asked and answered but I honestly don't know the answer.

But could the drinking you do cause the problems with your
memory? Since I don't drink at all, I honestly don't know this
answer. I sure hope it might be something this easy because
maybe it could be something that you could work to so it would
help.

Donna

PS. I hope you can find help for your falling.

I have always had memory issues.

I think it is a processing thing that
I don't process the information but it does not stick.
It is like I have holes in my braid in the processing area.
I have had large gaps of memory gone.
Like I can't remember vacations.
I can't remember short term and long term memory.
I have cards with clients addresses and a gps which
I depend on more and more.
I have had a problem with alcohol, yes that could be contributing

to it. my grandfather died of altzhimers. He never drank.

If you have always had trouble with memory then it probably is something else. But till you get into your neurologist its hard to know. I sure hope you get some answers. Derrick has really bad memory too. But his is because of his seizures,
from his childhood till now. He does the cards too.

He made cards for his test yesterday to take for his Server Assistant, and he could use them during the test. Which he had to write all the answers. He took 4 hours to write out all the answers. But luckily he had his job coach sitting their
with him so that she could help if he needed help with words. He will find out today if he passed it or not.

Hopefully he can start after we get back from Terre Haute, and he can enjoy his new job. And take the to go test after that. He also per his job coach, and
she really enjoyed telling me. Gave his cards to one of the other girls who is getting ready to take the same test. And told her when she is done with them to pass them on to another girl who is also taking the test. He is such a good team player.

This is sweet post kind of like pass it forward.
what is his new job? I forget if you told me already.
I thought he worked at out back? what happened?

I hope he likes his new job!
I don't see my new neurologist until the end of june.

I am happy that you were able to go to PT for a year.
You must carry wonderful insurance!!
I would benefit from balance training!
Nice to hear from you!
