Forget it. I'll just have to be the bigger person.

I think the stigma aspect is harder to deal with when people know than the invisible part when they dont. People in general know a lot more about depression than they used to, but not only is bipolar complex and misunderstood, I think people still fear it. There is such a vast range of functionality as well. I really hate being pigeon-holed.

I think it's funny how people think the bipolar and schizo are scary. I don't know. It's just... funny to me. Like, our daughter told me the other day that her friends were scared of me and she didn't understand why (she told them about my illness). My daughter doesn't think I'm scary. Lol. I'm probably the least scary person on the planet.

So glad that so many celebrities have come out as having our more complex disorders. If it wouldnt "out" me, I would wear a tee-shirt with the names of the brilliant scientists musicians and artists that had mental illness. In the case of bipolar, many of them were undiagnosed.
