But I have a pdoc appointment later and it's obvious I need an antipsychotic, but idk which route to take?

-meds that didn't work, but sometimes have tolerable side effects
-meds with side effects that keep me from functioning or make me suicidal
-one of the five meds I haven't tried but are in a class of drugs (FGAs) where every other one has led to akathisia (attempted suicide because of being on Haldol too long/at a dose that actually helped), urinary retention to the point of many catheders, or both.

How long were you on the meds with tolerable side effects that didn't work? Did you give them a full 6-8 weeks or stop them before that? If you didn't give them the 6-8 week try, maybe try them again? Could be they might work at a higher dosage than you were taking before?

I guess otherwise go on a med you haven't tried before?

It's a tough choice.

Depended on the med. Some were years, some were a month of rapidly tapering up (in cases I needed treatment ASAP before switching to heavier duty meds)

I'm really afraid of the FGAs though because I'm still impulsive and at the first sign of akathisia (that I had from every other FGA) I will definitely do something to get me in the hospital, jail, or morgue.

If the FGAs all made you suicidal, I would try to avoid them if you can. That's just me though. It's your decision.

All the ones I haven't tried (that are mania friendly) are FGAs though

Yeah. I fell asleep in some strange places a few times, but it did indeed kinda help once I hit the 1,100mg/day dose.

I'm trying Seroquel again. 25mg morning & afternoon and 100mg at night. Probably start sleeping from 4am-8am now.

Now it's just a matter of how long it takes for the pharmacy to get it ready! Called then twice since my appointment, and it's always "we'll get to working on it as soon as possible."

I came off opioids cold turkey. Alcohol. Klonopin. Meth. I was taking 30mg of valium a day for over a year and tapered off in three weeks. A bunch of APs and anti depressants which honestly were just as shyt.

I'm trying to get back on meds. They're not exactly making it easy. I got prescribed shyt yesterday and I probably won't get it for at least a week knowing this pharmacy. And with the doses I started, I'm going to need several increases before the blinds stop telling me the world ebbs and flows and I can't do shyt but exist and float. Maybe by the end of the year, I won't feel like the walls are alive and watching me. Or anyone with my ex's hair color is him in disguise stalking me. Maybe my racing thoughts will allow me to make coherent sentences. Maybe the impulsivity will chill enough that I won't chuck bottles at trucks that went down the street back and forth for 20 minutes straight.
