I decided to go on a diet (lifestyle change) today. It's been germinating for a while now. I'm very unhappy with my fat body. I did light strength training and only had water and a homemade protein shake after i made the decision mid-afternoon. I ate junk before that, not to worry, i'm certain i got my calories in.
I feel pretty good. I got cranky before the protein shake but i'm so pleased that it went well that my mood's turned right around. @June08: Sounds like you're being really sensibly cautious about the costicosteroid. It's reasonable to do an experiment since your POTs is so troublesome. Best of luck! |

Well I’m feeling very anxious. It’s too much for me to type out right now. Just lots going on and I’m back at work on Monday after a weeks medical leave. I’m scared.

I feel better mental health wise. I'm not an anxious psychotic mess. I am a bit of a mess physically. I woke up feeling nauseated and I peed out all this dark foggy urine. Now I'm just a bit achy and I'm trying to take care of my nausea with dramamine and pantropalzole. My shoulder is just numb. I can't feel it much.
Now its cracking and making real nasty sounds I've been really into the group Peter, Paul and Mary lately. I used to have a shirt a number of years ago. I wish I had another legit one. I guess they are a bit problematic now. __________________ I'm Blue Last edited by Mountaindewed; Aug 31, 2024 at 03:14 AM.. |

Good morning friends! I’m sitting here with one of my cats (Mustachio), she’s on my lap kneading right now and purring, listening to music and drinking coffee while I decide what to do for the first part of the day. Around 3pm my sister is gonna come pick me up and we’re going to that Italian pastry place I won the gift card to from the reading challenge I participated in at my library. We’re probably gonna get an 8 inch tiramisu, and some drinks then come back to my apartment and enjoy some of it. I’m thinking I’m gonna get a large caramel macchiato. She can get whatever she wants to drink. I’m super excited about it.
I slept really well. Probably gonna straighten up my apartment a bit then read till it’s time to go. Maybe take a shower too __________________ “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” -St. Francis of Assisi

Your cat is adorable! I see where he gets his name from! I have 3 cats, and there is nothing like having a purring cat on your lap I hope you have a great time with your sister. I LOVE tiramasu though I haven't had it in forever. Now you're making me crave it! __________________ Bipolar 1, PTSD, anorexia, panic disorder, ADHD Seroquel, Cymbalta, propanolol, buspirone, Trazodone, gabapentin, lamotrigine, hydroxyzine, There's a crack in everything. I feel better. I took a couple tylenol and a couple dramamine and my stomach med and a valium and then I fell back asleep until 7. I got my steroid shot. I was not phased by the shot in my shoulder. It was actually closer to my back and she put a ton of numbing spray on it before so I didn't even really feel much. Its still numb. She mentioned if I wanted a refferal to PT and I said no. I know PT works for me, but idk. My mom says I shouldn't count it out. The doctor said the shot should work for 3 months.
My mental health is stable again. I got all the pills out of my system. Last night sucked so much. My new med is all in and its only $43 for a 3 month supply. Some stuff was out of stock for a couple weeks and I wasn't sure if it was a one month or a 3 month. Even if it was $43 for a one month thats still better then the $450 for a 3 month supply I was paying before. __________________ I'm Blue |

Well, I won't be taking the corticosteroid for my POTs symptoms again. About 30 minutes after I took just half a dose, my heart started racing and I could feel it pounding, I felt sick to my stomach, I got extremely tired, and my arm muscles got weak/sore. If I'm standing, my heart rate goes into the 120s. Even sitting down, my heart rate is around 100 bpm. Since the med helps you retain sodium, I'll be avoiding that because I don't want my heart rate to get worse. Hopefully, the heart rate issues don't last all day because those are kind of concerning.
I haven't yet, but I might have to cancel my lunch plans which would be disappointing because I haven't seen this friend for awhile. __________________ Lamotrigine: 300 mg Bupropion: 150 mg Risperidone: 3 mg |

Thank you everyone for the compliments on Mustachio , she’s definitely unique
I had a good time at the Italian pastry shop. My sister and I each got a single serving tiramisu cup, 2 cannolis, and split a crumbrulee (spelling?) donut and she got some candy to bring home and I got a pack of Italian cookies to bring home. We both got caramel macchiato’s. Everything was really good!! I had a good time, it was nice to see her. I still have $10 leftover on my gift card so I can go down there again someday and get a coffee and maybe a cannoli or biscotti.. It’s raining today, very gloomy rainy day but I do like those. I ordered a new Kindle Paperwhite. That should be here by Thursday. And got a case for it. Overall I’m doing really well. I paid for my next two violin lessons and paid my phone bill so all that’s taken care of. Mustachio is sniffing me a lot right now because a neighbors bulldog was all up on me snuggling earlier when I was outside and Mustachio isn’t familiar with dogs so she doesn’t recognize the scent. Anyway, it’s been a really good day. Tomorrow I have my volunteer shift with the rescue kitties __________________ “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” -St. Francis of Assisi

Well I feel great. I made up my sleep last night. I slept about 19 hours but stayed in bed for 12. Oh it was wonderful. Usually once I’m awake I have to get out of bed. But I was able to relax.
Woke to multiple phone messages they went to eat and wanted me to join them. I joined them for games about 1pm. They are planing a potluck for Monday. I’ll just buy something to bring. __________________ Nammu …Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. I had a really odd dream last night...I was the father of a number of girls...something like 6-7 of them. And they had friends staying over, too. We all woke up late because it was the weekend, and we all had coffee and juice together
I have two sons, but I once wanted a girl child; maybe the dream was tapping into that thought, but that was 30 years ago. I figured out why I'm feeling so low - I didn't take my Prozac all week! No withdrawals, but I'll take it tomorrow. My wife has covid, so I'm sleeping in another bedroom, but I think I'll catch it from her anyway. __________________ * Dx: Unspecified Bipolar and Related Disorder * Rx: Remeron, Prozac, Klonopin My avatar picture is a photo of the Whirlpool Galaxy I took in April 2023. I think i'm getting a little flaky because of the time of year, September, when new activities are generally started, and because of the weather cooling off also. There was that learning French which was last week's scheme and this week it was dieting and exercising, which i've realized today is nonsense. If i start writing about swimming The English Channel, ignore me!
@MuddyBoots: Wow, you like harsh music! I tried your song, but didn't last long. I'm into mood music with tinkly piano, birds chirping, and waves lapping. Our taste in music couldn't be more different! @bizi: POTs stands for "postural tachycardia syndrome," a condition where the heart rate increases on changing the posture, such as lying to sitting up or standing. This will cause dizziness or fainting. @Nammu: Glad you feel great! I feel pretty good too, now that all the angst about dieting and exercising has passed. God it felt good to do almost nothing today - although I did get out to go to the dreaded Walmart and buy macaroni salad for Monday's big BBQ. Oh, when I went to the gas station my cards were coming up declined and had a mini freakout - their credit/debit card system had failed, but boy did it scare me. This older gentleman was scared too, I had to tell him when he was standing at the pump that it was probably just the gas station's error and he should be fine, he was so relieved!
All in all a good day. I made SO many phone calls today and caught up with so many people I haven't talked to in a while. Was a good day to snooze and read my book, which I often don't get to do. Felt really good to do nothing - my mopping of floors might have to wait till next Saturday, but that's okay, its a holiday weekend! @Blue_Bird Mustachio looks like Charlie Chaplin, lol, he is so cute!! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, hugs all around!! __________________ Tales of Love, Motivation, and An Interesting Journey - Please Subscribe to my Website on WordPress: Inspired Odyssey's Path to Wellness and Love |
