Thank you for sharing.

As Jelly Roll says, "I know I can't be the only one who's holding on for dear life." I feel I am indeed holding on for dear life, so that resonated with me. But, I feel so alone.

There's a spoken word poet, Shane Koyczan, you might find interesting.

Yeah I've never seen a video or full song of his, but saw his big tush on the news this morning for doing a big concert in NYC, and I am one thousand percent behind what he stands for.

It's not letting me view it on this page, but I'll look it up later. I have seen Jelly Roll in concert before though, and (besides the fact the show was pretty kickass) the dude himself is amazing. He's real. Been through shyt. Did shyt. Now he's sharing shyt and making people feel less alone.

I just hope he doesn't succumb to the temptations of wealth.

The vast majority of people do.

He seems hard to manipulate, mature, and smart, so that's good.

Yeah. I know he was in trouble for dealing and stealing in his past so there's that, but that was like 20 years ago and if anything he's gotten away from going against his values for wealth. At this point I think just does what feels right to him, and right now that's music and family. Maybe that's just idealism from me speaking. I mean he did dive pretty deep into country after Save Me got a lot of attention, but I can only speculate on motivates and money is one of them (and it's not like he solely does country, and even his country is more country rock).

I wouldn't really think moving more in a country direction would really be a cheddar chasing move, but then 96.5 the Mill here went from classic rock to today's country. I'm not super into what's going on overall or with whoever he's tryiing to reach, but if that's any sort of representation of a trend...

New album dropping this week by the way.

As long as he stays true to his values should be good. Theft would be the least of his worries.

Sick, I might check it out. Others check it out too

Yeah, 99% positive theft isn't on his mind anymore. I'm just thinking of the connection of the "do what you gotta do" for money mentality between theft and being a dealer that could leak into his music career. (but his vibes felt different from how he describes how he was way back)

Right. And being a family man will help keep the mind right. Sounds like he genuinely likes to perform, starting small and being happy just being known locally
