I run out of Vraylar on Tuesday night so Wednesday I’ll have no pills left. I see Pdoc Wednesday. Everything I’ve read online says to only use it for 2 weeks for mania but indefinitely for depression. It also says you should take an antidepressant with it. Am I really going to have to find another new drug after two weeks? My script is only for two weeks no refills. It’s been working so well that’s the thing. It has a very long half-life- like weeks!- so even after I stop it I could still get side effects.

When I tried it, I was on it for a few months. Only stopped because it wasn't working for me.

It is one of the newer APs, relatively speaking. It might not have been approved for maintenance treatment yet, which does not mean it is not effective this way. It just has not been clinically tested enough to gain an extra indication FDA approval.
