Good morning. I woke up around 2:45am and couldn't get back to sleep, I'm wide awake. So I'm up for the day I guess. It's going on 6am right now. I have my appointment with my primary care doctor later today to talk about the vitamin D. I'm hoping the thorazine increase helps me sleep better. But last night I barely slept even with the dose being doubled. So idk. I used to be on 400mg of it for a very long time. Now I'm on 200mg of it. I don't want to go back up to 400mg cause it made me sleep for like a ridiculous amount of time. But we'll see how this month goes. If my sleep doesn't get better by my next appointment with my psychiatrist I might see about going up to 300mg. I hate that my body is so reliant on meds to get any sleep.

My mom and I are both sick. No wonder I woke up so late and was sleeping all day yesterday. We're hoping its just colds. But we'll test for covid if we need to. I don't have a fever but I feel like I ran a marathon. I am so achy. And I'm coughing and my throat hurts.

My credit card is still high. Waiting for my bipolar study money to come so I can pay some of it down. So you’re not the only one with manic money troubles.

I'm feeling anxious and low.

I read a fascinating obituary in today's New York Times about Megan Marshack, who passed away on October 2.

I was 11 years old at the time and not aware of US politics when VP Rockefeller died. I had no idea about the circumstances surrounding his death and Ms. Marshack's possible involvement. She wrote her own obituary and did not disclose any details about her relationship with Rockefeller but did include a quote from 'A Chorus Line', where she wrote that she “won’t forget, can’t regret what I did for love.”.

Here's the link to her self-written obituary: Megan Ruth Marshack Obituary 2024 - W.F. Gormley & Sons

Heading to my appointment in about an hour. I’m buying this little box of 7 individual packets of instant coffee. One packet per cup. I’m hoping to try limiting myself to a cup a day and see how that goes. I don’t really want to quit coffee entirely but I’d like to be able to have it in moderation. Not 6-8 cups a day like I was doing everyday for years.

This is exactly how I take my coffee … it’s in 10 individually wrapped sachets. You’re doing all the right things to cut down. You got this!

Good morning all

I had a shocking sleep last night. Woke up so many times and not always to go to the toilet. Think some of it was bad dreams plus a few other things on my mind. Anxiety is high again this morning. I struggle with mornings.

I see my therapist later on today. It’s my 3rd session. 1st session was an intake session, 2nd session was him explaining to m how to use the cbt book and today we will go through the book. I’m looking forward to it but I’m also nervous. Will update after Ive been.

Right I’m off to play Wordle. Tc all 🫂

I had a good appointment with my doctor. He’s always fun to talk to. We talked about anime some and music and Halloween, bubble tea and Japan. He’s visiting japan next year. He’s my favorite doctor. I’ve been seeing him for a few years. He’s relatively young and very easy to talk to. But yeah he cancelled the vitamin d my psychiatrist prescribed and prescribed it at the lowest dose instead he said we’ll just take it slow and test again in 3 months to see where my levels are at. My levels were at a 9 in June. Which is very low.

I am sooo tired, omg. My sleeping is so awful. Started my new job today and it went really well. Staring at numbers for 4 hours straight will take some getting used to for sure.

All I want to do is lay down and I have so much to do. Sigh.

Awesome! And thanks! The packets feel less tempting than a huge open canister of coffee grounds or kcups

Sorry you’re really tired, it really sucks not getting good sleep. It can ruin a whole day. I’m glad you’re enjoying your new job though. Congrats!

I'm feeling like crap. But I took a covid test and it was negative. So its just a regular cold. But it makes sense that episode I had the other day with the valium and melatonin. Right before I get colds I get super med resistant anxious for no reason.

I'm just hanging out in bed today.

I did vote yesterday. Went down the lines and circled in everything that said blue. I have a bit of bad intuition but I'm trying just to focus on what I can control.

Hope you feel better soon! Great job with voting, I am doing mine on November 5th, I am worried too but like you said it's good to focus on what's in your control

@LadyShadow I'm glad your first day went well. Is this job full-time? I think you said you were still going to be at your old job as well as this one.

Some guy in my hiking group posted a picture of flip flops and one slip on on the side of a very popular hike (Artists Bluff) saying “we tell each other to be prepared meaning remember the headlamp or purifying tablets…never thought to remind people to bring shoes with tread.” I think 7 people had to get rescued on Basin-Cascade's. Funny how the madness is extra extreme in Franconia Notch (where both of the above are, practically a 2 hr straight shot up the Interstate from Boston).

Not even “our” hikers haha, there’s almost no NH plates on 93
