Okay, so my sister is currently in a hospital being treated for bi-polar, schizophrenia and some insane OCDs. They have her on lithium, seroquel...another antipsychotic that I cant remember the name of right now. Anyhow - initially I didnt get the bipolar diagnosis. I'd never seen her go between the highs and lows. I did tonight though when I went to see her. Saturday she was VERY depressed. Today, she was giddy - hyper, like a little kid - laughing a lot, even at things that werent really funny. And then it hit me....I have seen her go between the two! I just didnt realize it. Now that I'm learning about these things it's all so clear to me. AND, it explains A LOT of what we once thought of as her "quirks". wow.....
