A sister-in-law of mine who's DH has been diagnosed w/ bp called me today and let me know that she believes my dh (her brother) to also be bp or, in the very least, severely depressed. She and I have talked many times through the years and she finally felt she could call and talk to me about this today, which I was very grateful for as it explained a lot of things that I have often wondered about.

My question is how do I (me personally) go about finding out which direction to take this (depressed/bp) even though dh isn't at a place to deal w/ this? My intention is not to diagnose him or to fix him, it's to suit me up w/ the tools I need to help me and my kids deal w/ this in a much more healthy way.
