Hi guys.

I haven't been around for awhile. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I'm BP2 and about 2 days before my period I often have what I'll call a "psychotic episode." Then when my period starts I swing hypomanic.

I know, I know. Go ahead and laugh...it's just UMS (ugly mood swings.) I'm convinced it's part of bp & those hormones are just exaggerating my symptoms...

anyone?

Hi sweetleaf

Welcome back! I can't say that I personally have experienced what you are going through monthly. It sounds to be an extra difficult time for you. Have you spoken to a medical/mental health professional regarding these additional symptoms? I hope you find some answers here.

Take care,
Dee

I too have UMS. It has actually ended a couple relationships in my past. It really isn't funny in real life, but I'm definitely going to have to use your term for it because it gives me a bit of a giggle.

I personally have always thought it was because my hormones have been and always will be screwed up. I never went further into it than that because there were always bigger fish to fry, so to speak. If you find out more please let us know.
