I've posted a message under relationship and communication because I'm trying to understand my fiance. He's a 37 year old veteran. He was diagnosed - bipolar, clinical depression, and PTSD. Please help me to understand how he feels and how I am to deal with him and the mood swings and how not to be wearied down. I need help because I love him and I want to be there beside and behind him.

My suggestion to you is to show your fiance unconditional love no matter what his moods are like. Keep telling him that you love him, how much he means to you and offer your ear to any of his concerns or problems. By constantly showing love you'll help with his negative self-esteem during times of depression. You may want to do some reading about bipolar/ manic-depression to further your knowledge about this. As some one who suffers from bipolar disorder, I could try and help with any specific questions that you may have. But it's always best to be equipped with as much professional knowledge as possible.

His life is such a rollarcoaster. His moods can change from one moment to the next without him having any control of anything. One minute he could be crying and the next completely estactic.
Just being understanding this must be tough for you.
