Hi inside
Welcome to PC! I'm sorry the meds are making things worse. If I may ask, is it making the depression or mania worse or both? Maybe you can contact your Pdoc and see if he/she can perhaps make some adjustments. Good luck and keep us updated! ![]() Dee |

It can take a while to find the right med or meds. Keep in close contact with your pdoc and make adjustments or try other meds as needed. Good luck.

Dont make that mistake .There no magic pill and first pill may not work well for you or the second or the third . Finding the right meds. that will work well for you is hard and can take month or even years but when you do things do get better . Dont quit it takes time it can take months before some meds. start to work and if they dont months to get off them to just start it all over again .It sucks but thats the way it works there know easy road to feeling better. Hang in there.

Took me a year of trial & error to get the right meds (combo of 6). Was stable--poster woman (middle-aged) for bipolar then had a long period of hypo mania despite being meds compliant (why does that happen?) & didn't report to doc as it felt so GOOD & didn't realize it was dangerous--but after 5 mos. of no sleep (well, 2-3 hours) a fast crash & OD. So close contact with meds provider, therapist, support group, all are necessary to help us along our way. Doesn't make us weak--just smart to have all those "tools" in place.--Suzy
