I thought this was an excellent article regarding loss of brain tissue, especially as BP patients age...results loss of memory, etc.

Well shoot! Maybe that is why I am so forgetful in the past year or so!

Oh well, nothing I can do about it, I suppose. Thanks for the information!

I wonder what it means "as they age" since most people aren't diagnosed until age 30-35... I'm only 36 and I have memory issues! Thanks for the article, though.

I was researching information on bipolar and memory loss, loss of grey matter, etc. and it was one of several that I found. My memory is worse and my pdoc keeps telling me that I am overexaggerating it... It helps me to know that research suggests that I am not overexaggerating, especially when the other day I asked my daughter what time did I pick her up from school because she still hadn't finished her homework (12 yo) and she replied, "Mom, Dad picked me up from school (they both had this look of fear on their face as they said it in unison!!

It really feels like early alzheimers...I honestly hope not, however! I hope you are feeling better today...

I call it "youngheimers". I'm unsure of the validity of the article, but with all the medications I've taken over the years, the ECT's and turning 40...Well heck...thats enough to make any one lose some bits of memory
Thanks for this!
