Two weeks ago I had an official conatct with a pdoc who had prescribed me two drugs cipralex 10 mg and abilify 10 mg. After two wekks, i had the appointment again and this time I told him that I had a constant headache since the strat of taking meds and i was awaken during this time at night and went to bed daily around 4 am. I was unable to sleep because of this constant pain. Though I had less intrusive thoughts.

Now he has changed my drugs and put me on 5 mg abilify and 50 mg zoloft. I am wondering where he is getting at. I also asked him to define my label. He told told me that he had no clear cut way to tell me exact mental illness. For example, i am not schizophrenic or didnt have schizo affacetive disorder. he told me something like I am "mixed".

How many of you think that I am bipolar. I was asked these questions in my first meeting by him.

I told him:
I get these sucial thoughts like i want to die or want to kill myself for no obvious reason, easily crying, was verbally abused as a kid by my father and siblings, cousins, was grown up with two schizo sisters, feel emotional pain caused my my dad's abuse, my whole personality was chnaged from a sober, polite person to digusting, irritable, angry, mad person after the age of 19, i dont see hallucinations, but felt deep depression, didnt talk with my dad for years, cutting classes from university, sweared at him, sometimes thoughts appear like "i wanna killl this guy whenever i look at him", didnt study for 6 years. brain burned out
felt unknown aches over the body

Do let me know where he is getting at with his prescribed drugs. These drugs do help me out to put those nagging htoughts away but awakining at night and feeling constant headache are quite bothersome.

Thanks for reading

We can't diagnose you here as we aren't doctor's but it sounds like you might have a personality disorder rather than bipolar but that is just little ole me.

Try taking some of the quizzes and see what they say and then take them to your doctor and see what he says. That may help.

Labels...sometimes a relief...sometimes not...I think continuing to talk openly about the side effects and other issues will help your pdoc...maybe at this time it would be better to get the right balance of med's. Would that be more helpful?

Though I sense a persistance about knowing what is probably unknown at this time...painful I would guess? PC is a wonderful place of resources...so if want to research dx's you've started in the right spot...

my pdoc has ruled out illness like schizophrenia, Border line personality, and schizo affective disorder. So what is left is anyone's guess?
