I seem to be having migraines a lot more frequently in the last year. I've been on Depakote for 2 1/2 years. I am weaning off it- down to 250 after being at 1000- but definitely not cold turkey. I had the worst migraine monday. Its not fair! Anybody else?

I think it's a common side effect. I have never personally had much problem coming off of medications that I can think of. You should tell your doctor about this though, maybe you are coming off of your medication too fast? At least he/she could advise you as to whether you could advil or tylenol to help.

Moose, have you had your female hormone levels tested...it could be too much estrogen or too little estrogen... My dd has started to get these about 5 months ago when her period starts and nothing worked...so I now give her a tofu shake (phytoestrogen) and it eliminates her headaches...

If you have any other questions, please feel free to PM me...
