I've been seeing my T once a month for the last year because of BPD. I was pretty functional so we worked on self-esteem, professional and personal goals, spirituality, family relationships and gaining friends. All of this has helped me grow so much and he has been the most empathetic and truly concerned T I've had. You can tell that this is more than just a job to him. (That's why I stuck around for a yr).
Now, I'm aware that Borderlines are know for getting to clingy to their Ts. But I would like to thank him or say something... give him a post card (idk!!) To let him know that I really appreciate everything he's done but I'm not sure what's appropriate. Any opinions? |

I would go for a card, just write something short to say thanks in it.
If you want you could get a small present, like a box of chocolates or something, but don't feel like you should, because after all they are just doing their job and getting paid for it. |

I agree a card sounds nice with maybe a small box of chocolates just to show your thanks.
