Thurs evening my sister in law and my mother in law were on their way to OKC to see my father in law who was in the Veterans hospital. He had to have a Heart Cath done on Friday and my MIL was going to stay the night with him at the hosp. They were in a major car wreck. my mil was the only one hurt, but it was bad. They found bleeding on the brain. She is a cardiac patient and has a stainless steel heart valve so she was on blood thinners. The blood thinners were causing her to bleed more so the only option was to take her completely off of it. That raised the risk of a blood clot and Friday morning they found a clot on the CAT scan. They had to do Brain surgery to get the clot off the brain, but they said from the cardiac viewpoint, she needs the cumadin to keep her blood thin to reduce clots, but from a neurological view she can't have any for two weeks until the bleeding completely stops. the bleeding is in the part of the brain that is inoperable. The prognosis is that without the cumadin in the next week, she runs a very high risk of having a stroke that could kill her and they said it's more likely to happen than not to happen. The doctors said there is still hope, but they don't expect her to live. My husband is beside himself. understandable but we need lots and lots of prayers. btw, the wreck was my SIL 's fault, but it was a accident, she pulled in front of a truck and wasn't paying attention. PLEASE PRAY
