I just wanted to tell you my good news. I passed my first assignment on the foundation access course in psychotherapy and counselling . I shall be starting a degree on this subject in September . Three years ago I had a mental breakdown, completely in crisis and never thought I would see the light. I was sexually and emotionally abused from a young child until the age of 16/17. Something within my body just told me I needed to let go of all the shame, guilt and anger. I have been through such difficult times and I still do, but each time there is a trigger or I dissociate a little the learning process kicks in and it becomes easier. I just wanted to post this, as I do every now and again to give a little hope and inspiration to others. There IS light at the end of that long tunnel and I am living proof. Blessings, Kerry/Jinnyann/Ophelia

I suffer with Borderline Personality, dissociative amnesia, PTSD and depression, I have managed to stop taking my anti depressants and anti anxiety meds too xxxxx (with permission from the psychiatrist and my doctor) xx

WOW THAT IS QUITE AN ACCOMPLISHMENT! Congratulations! I only hope and pray that my daughter can achieve the level of success in conquering her BPD that you've achieved. Sometimes I feel so hopeless for her, but I'm inspired by your post.
Thanks for this!

Thank you so much . There is hope, many things contribute to BPD throughout life but it doesn't have to be all negative. I truly have terrible days but I am learning how to cope and through this training will learn so much more about myself and the struggles from my past. I am so glad you have been inspired, this makes me so happy, take care, Kerry xxx

Congratulations Ophelia!!

It is wonderful that you have gotten so far, despite the many years of misery that you've suffered. Wonderful that despite your difficult days, you are able to recall that you will get through. You can cope! Great success story, honey, thanks for sharing the terrific news!!
