Well, i've been diagnosed with BPD since June but no one thought to mention it to me! I only found out by requesting to see my medical notes. Does anyone have BPD and also depression and anxiety? How do you cope? I feel like this is a life sentence.

Yes, anxiety and depression are a part of bpd. It is a rough ride sometimes.

Are you working with a therapist? BPD is not a 'sentence' but a description of our difficulties. In therapy we learn and grow and feel better.

I have BPD, depression and anxiety as well. I do find it difficult to cope sometimes, but they're not all life-sentences. They will be with you for life, but you can learn to deal with them so that eventually you will learn how to deal with them and then they won't really affect you anymore.

Hello, I have BPD, depression, anxiety, as well as bipolar and OCD. It is difficult to cope sometimes but we must try. Eventually we will learn how to deal with our issues and live the life we deserve to have.

Hello.

When I was first diagnosed in 2001, it felt like a sentence to me until I read more about it, i.e. a book called Get Me Out of Here, about a bpd woman in therapy. There is hope.

I have anxiety and depression, was misdiagnosed for many years.

For me it can be part of the bpd (most likely) and/or a separate thing. And it can depend on things, like if I am going thru Seasonal Affective Disorder, in the fall or if I am coping with a loss.

ty for sharing,

Billi

bpd can be a real beast and it always feels like there's nothing you can do to get better. it's not helped when your dr's tell you that! but you can get better. it might not go completely but you can learn to be you!
