I'm a BPD sufferer and just really struggling on a day to day basis. I've started group psychotherapy but don't see it doing anything to be honest. Is this ever going to end? am i ever going to be free. I can't go on living like this

It is hard when those times come. I'm in the same boat, trying very hard to stay present in this moment. No one likes the hard times, we aren't alone. I remind myself of that often. {Honestly, it doesn't make me feel better.} But, it does remind me that I'm not alone on Earth. I just keep repeating those words in my mind...that's my hold on present reality. Gentle hugs to you ~ things will get better. It just takes time. I hope that you soon find relief in your group. I was in group DBT, and that was very helpful for me. I try hard to continue with the techniques learned there. DBT is supportive in the chaos, and we have to work to see our world improve. I'm probably not making any sense right now. My words seem kind of clear to me, but I am without a few night's of sleep. Hope that I haven't confused you!

I've never done group therapy. Maybe individual therapy would help you feel more supported and help you understand yourself much better.
Will the intensity of our moods and emotions lessen? It's possible, when we understand where they come from and what fears and disappointments and sorrow they are about. ![]() |
