As if I didn't already have questions as to who the heck I really am!! My Birthday is December 8!! WHY is my sign the one to change?! I am seriously have MAJOR issues with this!!

"Astronomer Parke Kunkle says that due to changes in the Earth's alignment the dates of many zodiac signs have changed, according to NBC. In addition, there may be a 13th Zodiac sign: Ophiuchus.
Kunkle says that as the Earth and Sun slowly move the signs gradually change, as expected.
The change didn't happen over night either. The 12 signs were designated to different periods of the year almost 3,000 years ago, when astrology began, and since then the Earth's position in relation to the sun has changed.
While the sign many people were born under may now be different, it shouldn't affect horoscope readings, according to NBC.
See if your Zodiac sign has changed below. (And find out if your friends' signs have changed here or under the dates below.)"

The New Dates:

lol me too (dec 10)
You are you! Dont forget it. I have never been a standard sagittarius anyway. time is a man made concept. but if you do have deep connection to your star sign dont worry, this is probably a fad a false discovery.
Thanks for this!

Whose sign didn't change??? The signs of everyone I know changed. Not sure how I feel about it....I'll have to read the signs again, see if I like that.....How cool it would be to be new: Ophiuchus... What's the symbol associated with it?

I wouldn't worry about it since it was an astronomer who is saying it changed, not an astrologer. Astronomers do not believe in astrology other than as a fun past-time/game as it does not have anything at all with the actual planets and stars but is wholly made up over 2000 years ago. But, just as astrologers ignore astronomy, astronomers know nothing of astrology.

Hey Your sign does not change if you were born before 2011. It's only people born after 2011 that it is effective, so whatever you were, you still are.

Peace

Who cares? I know a lot of people think horoscopes are accurate... and I used to as well. I used to cast horoscopes for people, and everyone I knew was convinced it was accurate for them.

Problem is that people define themselves according to what they read they should be. I'm not telling you what my horoscope is, because if I did you'd automatically think you knew stuff about me, and that's simply not true.

My son doesn't know his horoscope, and therefore his "sign" doesn't define him. I'm glad of that. I think it's about time we were all liberated from the idea that "signs" outside ourselves control who we are, and our personalities. Shakespeare said it best: The fault lies not in our stars... but in ourselves if we are underlings.

Take this as an opportunity to be someone other than what astrology constricts us into being.

That's my advice...

Oh, and here's a challenge. If astrology is so accurate, you should be able to guess what sort of star sign I am... if not the exact house, then at least the element associated with it. First one to guess right gets a metaphorical banana.
