Hi everyone newbie here.

I'll post an introduction shortly, but I just had a quick question.

I understand a lot of music can be triggering and so some may refrain from listening to it.

So I was wondering, do you think there is music out there that can ease someone back into listening to music or does there have to be another way to be able to listen to music again?

This is in regards to a friend with BPD, I have BPD myself but I'm not affected by music.

Thanks All

I'm not really triggered by music...so really don't know...is it all music or just certain styles?

yes music is triggering for me. esp when i was manic and would go to clubs. so certain types of genras and bands and songs trigger horrible memories -

i mostly listen to alot of ambient stuff, shoegaze (gosh, i hope this isn't ruined by some douche) check out dustin o'halloran, jon brion, my bloody valentine, slowdive

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
