Okay. I took the quiz that said I likely have borderline personality disorder. This would make my 3rd psych diagnosis. BPD sure sounded like me, especially in my pre-therapy days. I feel like this dog, slapped upside the head by another challenge to my self-esteem. Ack. What should I do?

Just found out I probably have BPD and kind of freaking out

relax. it's just a stupid online quiz. and bpd isn't like the devil. lol. there are various degrees of bpd (moderate, high, low) also the more you 'know thy self' the more you are able to get better.
Thanks for this!

Plus an online quiz is not a diagnosis, it's just that, a quiz. Only a Dr. can dx you So relax, Like palemoss said, It's not the devil!! LOL If you have a T make sure to bring up your concerns there.. if you don't have a T, get one...

Online quizzes have a lot to answer for lol they can really freak you out when really they are often written by people who have absolutely zero qualifications to make any sort of diagnosis.

Thanks all, I feel much better today. It was just kind of a shock. I didn't even know what BPD was hardly, and now I have it? But I emailed my T, and she doesn't think so. Regardless, even if I did, I'm learning that labels suck, and I am not a nutcase. I am a valuable, worthwhile person who has a lot to offer, who happens to have a few psych diagnoses, just like the rest of us here. In fact, I think people with MI are generally more sensitive and compassionate and insightful b/c of the level of pain we live with. It's all good. Thanks again everyone for the encouragement.
