I'm a bit over this crap. I should be in bed.
I'm sick of the swinging between mood states.
If I was sliding into a depressive time I could cope because at least I'd know it was coming, but I don't. One minute all is well, the next I've crashed and want to hurt myself.
My lithium level is currently too high and I'm waiting for the doctor to decide what to do with me.

Gentle hugs to you (((flooded)))

I hope that the doctor fixes the mood swings soon! I'm not sure that medication helped me get through real tough times. When I think of it, most meds haven't helped me at all. I do still take whatever I'm prescribed though ~ wth do I know?

Hope that you are feeling better!

Flooded ~ I am on Lithium too. Recently I reduced my mg's and I set myself up for breakthroughs in mood. I had forgotten what it felt like to be stable enough, but not totally stable. My pdoc prescribed Abilify and that helped tremendously. I also take Seroquel when nothing else works or Risperdol. Those two immediately shut me down. The Risperdol, liquid form, hits me immediately whereas the Seroquel has to have some time to go through the gut and then the blood stream, that's why I always have on hand one of the anti-psychotics in liquid form for emergencies only.

Do you think you are reaching Lithium toxity?

I had bloods done a few weeks ago June_Bug and although my presence has been requested at my gp, it can't be too bad because I haven't been yet and they haven't rung me.

Your presence was requested. Whether you go or not, is up to you.

I hope that things calm down soon for you, Flooded. Are you in therapy as well? Oh, and if you don't mind me asking, are you from the UK? Sorry for the random question, and I hope you feel a bit better soon.
