I read your "Goodbye" post. I know the thoughts and feelings you had associated with this site & people. As for the site, it has been overwhelming me finding the BPD forum alone. When I visisted some of the threads in the other forums, there were some serious attacks on people that made a post. It scared me horribly. It didn't seem like a safe place for me.
As I read threads in the BPD forum though, it seems like a really safe place to be. I hope you are as impressed as I am by the support I have seen you given. As for wanting to leave in the first place, as a BPDer too, I know that feeling/thought all to well. It is so hard to interact with others. I am so often misunderstood and misunderstand others as well. So, it is easier to walk away from others and relationships. I am the queen of that. I personally live as a loner now. I literally can not handle relationships, so I chose to be alone. I have no friends and don't even speak to my family any more. Dating? That's been out of the question for years and years now. But, of course, I am lonely. I find things to keep me occupied...crochet, read, bake, and I have a dachshund. But, I have taken the chance by joining this website in order to find some company; people who think, feel, and behave similar to me and understand. I think it is worth really trying and sticking to it. Like I said before, I think this is a safe place and the support seems 'real'.
